Please dont stop working on this game

Im thankful for the continued support by Frontier so far. They take our suggestions seriously and try to do something with them. I havent had a chance to play with the new content YET. It sounds like all great stuff. And here it comes....but.... This game still needs a lot more improvements. Especially for replayability.

First and foremost after, im still hopeful, a JP 93 dlc...

The animals need a lot of attention. They still dont do very much. I hope they can bring in the members that have worked on planet zoo and start adding new behaviors and animations from that game into JWE. Along with mundane and playful behaviors we need variations of kill animations as well as bringing the death fight animations when herbivores are over crowded and trikes and pachys butt heads into their normal fight for dominance behaviors. They could also give sauropods alphas and have them chest bump and neck battle each other. New unique animations for breakouts would also be nice. They could also take many species different guest kills and give them to all dinos in that weight class category so they have 2 or 3 different guest kills that can randomly trigger each time to spice things up.

Lastly i am going to be brutally honest about these terrain tools.... After the community has clamored for them for a year now.... 6 rocks and 5 trees is no where near enough. The island restriction on brushes is awful and not having all options on sandbox just leaves me scratching my head and asking why. We got ZERO park decorations as well... I expect more after a year. I know resources are tied up into the dlc and new islands, but the terrain tools and absent decorations need to be expanded upon.

Here is what we didnt get from the long awaited terrain tools that we still need:

Logs, tree stumps, yes more trees and more tree variants of the trees we just got, "tall grass"' , grass color brush, water color brush, plants specifically for water such as lilly pads and wetland grass, more rocks and with it perhaps a rock color brush, mountain creator, easier flattening mechanic, new pathways, paths that are actual roadways, bridges, catwalks, tour paths laid over water without deleting water, elevation sensitive guest paths that generate stairs perhaps, statues, fountains, paddock signs, customizable signage for viewing and attraction buildings, benches, bathrooms, rest areas, for guests paths and gates no longer being enemies and working together, new truck/jeep/heli/building skins, lethal dart gun from ranger jeeps

Thanks for reading. Thanks for all the work so far! Much appreciated!

Frontier has doubled revenue this year according to an article i read. I think they can give us a little bit more then 6 rocks and 5 trees after an entire year of asking for something. Especially considering what their planet zoo has: animals that swim, underwater viewing areas, breeding.... I doubt planet zoo is only going to have 6 rocks and 5 trees.

1 of the 5 trees is a tree we already have in forest if you delete the forest so only a few trees remain. Im not trying to gripe for the sake of griping.... It's been a year, and its 6 rocks and 4 trees with 1 tree we already had in the game. And before im attacked for no reason, how many other people on the forum said if the terrain tools arent massive they were going to be upset? Well they aren't massive. It's a small improvement. I like what we got but i want more and the game still needs more.

They are never going to put the Planet Zoo features into JWE. Planet Zoo is a PC exclusive as others have pointed out. It's also most likely using an upgraded version of the Cobra engine. That would require an entire rework of the game and that is never going to happen. People need to stop using PC exclusive games to compare this game to. This is not a PC exclusive. It's held back by consoles weak hardware. Before anyone says "Oh it's not the consoles it's the engine", which is something I have seen a few times lately, yes it's the hardware. The hardware can't handle the engine.

You might not want to hear this but your best bet it to hope the rumors of JWE2 are true. That's the only way you will ever see the massive improvements you and everyone else wants. Frontier has made a lot of money with JWE. So they should put that money into a sequel using the upgraded engine they used for Planet Zoo. They will probably use some of the new features from Planet Zoo in the JWE sequel. I believe JWE is just a playable tech demo. Frontier proved they could make a good JP/W game. They also proved it can make a lot of money. I am actually looking forward to a sequel.

I can't seem to find a way to edit my post or I can't remember how to. But in a post above I said Zoo Tycoon a few times. I actually meant Planet Zoo.

I dont understand why they cant do features separate from consoles specifically for PC. If pc users are able to do more and not be held back by constraints they should not have to suffer because playstation and xbox provide awful platforms for their price tags. But regardless this game needs waaaay more decor and tools. What we were given was an amazing start and has breathed new life into a dead game but its ridiculous how limited they have been with this game considering the huge IP it is.

Giving PC players more content is a win win for frontier - they not only please their pc player base but they may potential convert console users over to pc and sell another copy of their game (especially given the constant sales).

I went from ps4 to pc months ago - because the framerate drop on larger parks was horrible. I actually made a profit selling my console copy so again - win win.

Yep i realize it must take a great deal of time. I mean some kid named dondi was putting out gigs worth of updates for a game he was making on his own weekly and monthy. I guess when your pro's it takes a year to recylce a tree that's already in the game and make it individually placeable. I dont make games so what do i know? : /

Console has nothing to do with anything being talked about. Common excuse it's not pc only... We arent talking about 48 player multiplayer versus 16 player multiplayer. We are talking about rocks and trees and other inanimate objects. They have 62 dino models that actually do things. Trying to say ah man it's because it's not a pc exclusive as a reason we only get 6 rocks and 4 new trees is illogical. There's no reason more scenery and decorations cant be added. I dont understand why people feel the need to argue about suggestions and opinions. There WILL BE another dlc sometime soon. If they can add more dinos, they can add more scenery. The scenery would be easier. I feel like people think im asking for flying saucers, submarines, nukes, misles, apache helicopters, and t1000's over here. It's rocks and trees, colors, logs, bushes, signs, statues... Compared to a dr wu or Claire sanctuary, scenery items should be a lot easier to create. Or am i wrong? Is it easier to call in voice actors, create new island maps, add challenge modes, add new dinos, add new buildings and attraction features.....is all that easier then scenery items? All i did was point out there wasnt a lot. Love it! But it wasnt a lot.

This game is far too much of a money-maker right now.

Decisions such as ceasing development cycle usually happen 1-2 years into it. The timeframe tends to be a little more stretchy with multiplayer games such as PUBG and Rainbow Six Siege, but inevitably, those too will cease their production in favor of a newer game in a similar series.

I'm aware many of the fans here waited years since Genesis. But since this game came so long, the core playerbase is still there also due to the movies.

Besides that, I wouldn't worry too much about them ditching it by lack of creative design anymore. The movies are due to release in the next 4 years. They'll be able to develop new content based on that. That is provided the development cycle, and the product isn't considered finished, doesn't end for another 4 years.

Marine and Avian dino's when?

So, all in all. I'm not that worried.

So you're saying that all the console players, that paid the same amount of money, shouldn't get any updates, but the PC version should be upgraded and therefore have many more features and offer a totally different game? Glad you're not employed at Frontier. Hahaha

It's not a win/win at all. I would never convert to PC, just to play this game. They would lose so many console customers. If they only offered it on PC, my estimate would be that only half the amount of people would be playing. They want more people to purchase, therefore they make it available on more platforms. Consoles are very popular.

Mostly because it wouldn't be fair. I'm on PC and would like to fully utilize it, but if my game ends up very different form consolers who also pay for it, it wouldn't sit right with me. Probably the company too. So you either make it PC only or cross platform with PC limitations, which is most likely why Planet Zoo is PC only so that there's no limitations for us or them.

Mostly because it wouldn't be fair.

Even if it was a few things like bigger maps or better terrain tools it would at least be a step in the right direction. Console company's make plenty of money of a product thats sole purpose is to play games yet the hardware for their platforms are so behind compared to what an average PC setup can do it is ridiculous that this is an issue to begin with. If consoles were considerably cheaper then it would be a matter of the user settling for cost vs performance in which case people who could do more (regardless if its pc or a better performing console) shouldn't be restricted.
