Summary
System: Delphi
Station: The Oracle (Orbis Starport, S/M/L pads, 3,094 Ls from main star, 357.20 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Exploration Data
Time limit: 10th July 3305 @ 15:00 UTC

Description
Aegis Research has issued a statement amid growing concerns that meta-alloy harvests in the Pleiades Nebula have slowed dramatically. A number of sources claim that Thargoid barnacle sites have recently ceased producing materials.
The situation was addressed by Professor Alba Tesreau of Aegis Research:
Thargoid structures remain poorly understood, so we can only theorise why the barnacles in most Pleiades systems have grown barren. Our leading hypothesis is that these sites have been over-exploited in recent years, and humanity has simply exhausted this resource.
What is certain is that meta-alloys are both a valuable commodity and a vital component of anti-xeno technology. It is of paramount importance that we maintain the supply of this material.
Therefore, Aegis Research is spearheading an initiative to identify an alternative source. We ask the galactic community to support us by providing exploration data, in the hope this leads us to undiscovered barnacle sites.
Independent pilots who wish to participate can do so by handing in survey scans to The Oracle in the Delphi system between the 4th and the 10th of July.

To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Exploration Data at The Oracle in the Delphi system.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
- Station services: Commodities Market, Outfitting, Repair, Restock, Refuel
- Nearest Shipyards:

  • Ceres Tarn in HR 1185 (11.47 Ly, 366 Ls from main star, Planetary Base, S/M/L pads but 4.12G) - Horizons only
  • Blackmount Habitation in HIP 17692 (14.72 Ly, 169 Ls from main star, Planetary Base, S/M/L pads) - Horizons only
  • Arc's Faith in HR 1183 (20.27 Ly, 939 Ls from main star, Ocellus Starport, S/M/L pads)
  • Copernicus Observatory in Asterope (22.12 Ly, 83 Ls from main star, Coriolis Starport, S/M/L pads)

CG runs on per system report not the Quality of the report...
Tier 8 will require 26,611,200 reports...
End date is a bit small in first post so lets make it bigger..
Time limit: 10th July 3305 @ 15:00 UTC

LOL yeah, thanks for that! I was hoping to get back from Colonia with my DW2 data but with Lavecon this weekend I doubt I'll make it. Same for my husband, Wrongway, we're both out there. :)

Yes, after handing in the scans, my reputation changed to cordial. With Sirius Inc.
As the station owner at The Oracle, that is working as expected ...

Note - this is a player faction, not Sirius Corporation who own the Sirius system and whose permit is needed to access Marco Qwent.

Following enquiries with Will Flanagan, it has now been clarified that the start/finish time for this and all future CGs will be the old original time of 1500 UTC. Although it started at 1300 UTC today, this was a mistake, but it will still end at 1500 UTC next Wednesday! So the only real change from the past is the CGs only lasting 6 days instead of 7 to allow for anything resulting from a CG to be implemented during the Thursday morning maintenance schedule. :)

So to be clear, the optimum strategy is to fly through as many systems as possible honking each as you pass through, and not bothering with any of this fancy new-fangled FSS nonsense?

Highest number of reports yes... but lowest pay rate yes... and the lowest interaction with the game. great for remote play/steam link usage this CG..

I can't bring myself to do that, I'll have to at least map water worlds...
