General / Off-Topic Christmas :)

Yeah I hate it when people mention it "far too early" but I have family and already they are waffling about shopping (yeah, empty wallet time) some love and some hate...

But it would be funny if we saw "PIGS IN BLANKETS" in the commodities list.

Would definitely point towards the Britishness of the developers, that's for sure :D

I can see it now as a bulletin: Wanted - Pigs in Blankets (Must be BACON wrapped.) Best price given!

Edit - Brainfart moment, I am aware other countries use this term.

"And the lord said 'thou shalt not mention Christmas before December 1st. He who doth shall be stoned.'":D

Anyways, not sure what pigs in blankets have to do with any particular holiday. We have those here year round as a standard breakfast item. But I could go for some pumpkin bread.

Fruitcake Anyone?

I would have thought Fruitcake would be more British. As my mostly British grandmother use to make it for Christmas with various tiny toys and silver dimes inside. I think the dimes were to bribe the kids into eating the fruitcake. :D

(We would have to trade the silver dimes for the copper clad ones so she could use them again the following year. The copper in the newer money would dissolve so they couldn't be used.)
