Hi Commanders, I have just desided to leave Star Trek Online after 8 years and have started to play ED as my main go to game for a new challenge and some serious exploration and i was hoping if i could meet some players who have been around for a while and ones that like to help new players to their fantastic game and community. I have been playing on the Solo server for the past 2 weeks so that i could learn the ropes and get more experience before i deside and have the confidence to start using the main server and so i thought i would start to reach out in the hope that i can meet like minded players to help me on my way. I don't mind the grind ( That's all we do in STO ) and i also love helping others. My main aims for ED at the moment is Cargo delivery's and exploration and i have been following the rags to riches system and managed to pick up 3 ships so far with the Diamond Back scout and Hauler as my main 2 ships. I am hoping to pick up the Horizons pack soon as i first bought this game years ago before that expantion pack was released so i am only running on the basic game for now. I would appreciate any help and support moving forward and i would be grateful for any help and support i can get from the Commanders who are willing to help a noob but i can promise them that if they help me i will go out of my way to repay the favour and will not let them down if they take a chance on a new player. I have a well established reputation within STO but after 8 long years i really need a good fresh challenge and i know ED is the game for me to get that challenge. I'd like to introduce you to the Alliance Rapid-reaction Corps. (ARRC for short)
We are a possibly one of the biggest, small Player Minjor Factions. We are a well established group with a presence in over 20 of the "Old Worlds"
Our base of operations is in our home system of Zaonce, Ridley Scott station.
The home of the Zaonce Fleet and the Bank of Zaonce.
Our systems include Tionisla where the famous Ships Graveyard is reputed to bear permanent monument to many a brave pilot.
We really don't mind who you are or where you come from. If you want to be our friends and allies then you will be.

A lot of us were here in '84 and as far as game play goes we moslty bimble about engaging in pretty much whatever come to mind.
Our activities include PVE exploration
PVP in a training group called "Fighter Club" (See my signature. No membership required)
Thagoid hunting in the Pleiades
Racing SLFs, SRVs and other vehicles in odd and remote locations
Driving SRVs into space stations...
Well you get the idea. Pretty much anything that's fun.

Background Simulation or Powerplay?
Yes we also involve ourselves in the Background Simulation and Powerplay aspects of the game. Flipping systems for the Alliance, fighting to keep or control systems etc.
You pretty much couldn't find a more friendly bunch of commanders with an eye for fun and a taste for adventure always on the lookout for new and exciting things to try.

Time zone is GMT UK but we are to be found online pretty much any time.

I really appreciate all of your posts and for offering to help me out on my first attempt to reach out to the wider ED community. You're quite welcome to join our server regardless of which group or squadron you join. We have members from other squadrons, members not looking for a squadron and members who don't even play Elite Dangerous. We can also point you in the direction of other useful organisations within the great ED community. In fact, our newest member has just moved over from XBox to PC and is in the process of finding his feet again in the ED galaxy so it might be ideal for the two of you to learn together. Either way, help is at hand judging by all the responses you've received.

Thanks for the message Erinir. That's great news to hear you are open for many different ways for players to join up with you all and also to have the offer of joing the player who is switching to the PC version. I have had a good few hours on ED today and i must say this game just seems to get better and better every day. I have been trying to earn resources for my Diamond scout build and i am using that build as a project to give me things to do and learn as well as get myself something descent for the adventures ahead. I am not sure if i will be able to keep everything i have when i switch from the default game to the Horizons pack but i really hope you do but if i have to start a fresh then it will be no probs at all and at least i will be able to do what i have done in half the time now i am starting to learn even more each day and the best places and mission i have done to get rich quick. I also learned that you can get voice command packs for voice activation of ship systems!!! WOW man that has blown me away and is something i am going to get asap so i can have a full true ED experience like many others in ED. I had no idea ED was this good and had all of these extra goodies you could get and if i had know way back that you can do all the things i have learnt so far i think i would if used half the time i have spent on Star Trek online on ED. I have also sorted out my Discord so i am hopeing to join everyone soon for a chat and to say hello but i just want to learn a few more things before i take the plunge but boy do i want to take it now LOL. But i need to be sensible and take my time to learn more before i venture out in to the dark Well thanks again for your message and support and i will be in contact soon. I am just watching more youtube video's and running delivery missions to get even more resources and experience for my Diamond Back scout ship and if anyone has any help and advice to give me no matter what it is then please post it any time no matter how big or small the information is.
