Ah yes, we have read this topic so many times before. the old Cobra MK4 exclusive item debate, some got it, most didn't, but who really wins here? sure some players get to have the ship all to themselves and have bragging/ stomping rights over the poor players who don't... so why not take advantage of this hype for the better of those who have said bragging rights?
For this suggestion, a Intergalactic market is added for all ships, where players can auction and sell ships complete with all module upgrades for in-game currency's (credits, engineer mats etc). the price cannot be below more than -10% of cost (to prevent newbie players jumping into Cutters and such...although the end result would be amusing we have to consider balance)
now, for the benefit of LEP/ Pre-order players they have a rather special advantage, the continued supply of Cobra MK4's. these players can purchase these ships and sell them on the market if they wish for significant profit due to high demand, these players have the rights to the ship, meaning they are the only ones who can buy them straight from the shipyard. players who purchase a MK4 will loose it forever should they sell it and cannot buy it from the shipyard.
Naturally a cooldown may be added for selling MK4's so that CMDRs don't make ludacris amounts of money in a day. however this still results in a very positive Win/Win scenario for both LEP players and those who missed out. being that those who missed out can still have a chance of owning the ship, and those who have the right to it have a whole new option to make a very large quick buck off a continued supply of high demand ships.
So that being said, I will place my first offer, if such a market was introduced I would pay the first CMDR 300M Credits, and an abundance of materials of his/ her choice for just a stock version of the MK4. I am a collector, I collect things... and given how I missed out on the LEP/ Pre-order by one month I very eagerly want this vessel.
