I think I'm the only person who is being reasonable here so for that reason fdev should let me fly the ship only. I will then feed back my experiences. We'll take it in turns. An hour each.
1. (exclusivity) and 2. (charity) are still unrelated. you're mixing up things here. if c4 would be a good tool, so would be any other goodie. i'm not even sure about the whole charities thing in this social media context but fair enough. even so, why on earth would you want to use precisely what shouldn't be used, because it is ... you guessed it, "exclusive"? you still don't get that that just doesn't make any sense?
your opinion is just fine. you should realize that your opinion can't go over facts (exclusivity) and decisions that are way out of your control. that's for frontier to say. see:
i am totally with you in that i don't give a damn about the cm4, and i gladly would give it to anybody if i could (i would miss the threads, though).
i could agree that "exclusivity" might be a bad choice. not really, i think people could just grow up and accept it, sheesh, but whatever. it's controversial to say the least.
but the thing is that frontier backed themselves into this corner and are stuck in it. there is no good way out. neither your opinion, nor mine, nor any good intentions matter in the slightest. if they decide out of the blue to unleash the damn ship then so be it, i'm fine. but they will have broken a contract, that's a fact. i don't think they would do so except in very special circumstances, and with very strong reason. i honestly don't think your idea could qualify. but frontier have baffled me more than once with beyond silly moves. imo, their best move is not to move at all, that is something they do very well and i expect them to keep doing exactly that.
So you don't think the O.P. 'is' being reasonable, then?I think I'm the only person who is being reasonable here so for that reason fdev should let me fly the ship only. I will then feed back my experiences. We'll take it in turns. An hour each.
Then we can go back to, the subject of, what should be 'exclusive' to open play and what should not.If its for a valid reason, why not take the 'good' path out, even if it was for one day? Then you can rightly shut the door on all the controversy because everyone had an equal, and final opportunity.
A better solution would be to make it cyclic. Release the C4. Make a C5 and make that exclusive for 5 years. We can review if the game's still going in another 5 years.(Oh, actually make the C5 good so the whiners can be stuck with the lemon for 5 years while the early backers are zipping around in a Cobra worthy of the name).

Salt. It maybe to gain attention, but mostly; just to get a reaction and to denigrate any opposition.
It is, what you do and seem to enjoy doing.
Quite often, I find it amusing, but then you sometimes, let your venom; take things too far.
Of course you are; being as naive, as you are.
Note to self: Really must; try to under-stand! the usage; of punctuation in: English
Well, it was over 40 years ago; when I passed my 'O' levels, in English Literature and English grammar. So much time has passed and the Americans have been dictating, how we spell words and form sentences; for decades now. I do agree, that I do use apostrophes a little too often; but that is to emphasise words, as I do not like using capitals, as many seem to do, these days.Though I'm pretty sure Arry is trolling with his punctuation![]()
I try to restrict them, to one per sentence, at the appropriate time; of course. Some do say, that they should only follow, full colons; but that was back when Latin, was still a compulsory subject.I was thinking more about the semicolons![]()
Moi?Sorry, still wrong![]()
Its quite simple: people want it (going from the recent and previous forum posts on it because its 'the' mystical item that you can fly about in), and allowing donations to access it brings the whole thing to a head in the right way (IMO at least).
As you mention later exclusivity was wrong because not everyone had an equal chance.
If its for a valid reason,
why not take the 'good' path out,

Grammarly said:The most common use of the semicolon is to join two independent clauses without using a conjunction like and.

We can go to the museum to do some research; Mondays are pretty quiet there.
Shakespeare said:The quality of mercy is not strained;
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes:
'T is mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes
The throned monarch better than his crown:
His sceptre shows the force of temporal power,
The attribute to awe and majesty,
Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings;
But mercy is above this sceptred sway;
It is enthronèd in the hearts of kings,
It is an attribute to God himself;
And earthly power doth then show likest God's
When mercy seasons justice.
As I said: Back when Latin, was a compulsory subject.I'll leave you with
(Though modern spelling is a little more codified of course)
Honest truth, between your commas and your profile image I genuinely thought you were somehow associated with 'Thoughts of Dog' on Twitter. At the risk of sounding incredibly condescending (and speaking as someone who normally gets twitchy at greengrocers apostrophe's), I actually kind of like your punctuation. Makes your posts distinctive and gives you a recognisable voice.As I said: Back when Latin, was a compulsory subject.
I am not a follower, of the James Joyce philosophy; when it comes to punctuation etc..
Thanks: No; I do not have a twitter account. Although, many have said I should get one; just to put the likes of Lord Chump, in their place.Honest truth, between your commas and your profile image I genuinely thought you were somehow associated with 'Thoughts of Dog' on Twitter.
