Where would i find the save files for the game?

Where abouts are the save files, i'm planning on uninstalling the game and re-installing it to fix it, help would be appreciated.

They will. Although you don't have to worry about your save files if you have cloud save enabled, but saving your save file to a USB before uninstalling serves as a backup just in case.

Hi everyone!

First, I play JWE on Steam.

I have a problem with my save files. First problem: I don't have any "Saved Games" folder in my %USERPROFILE% folder. In fact, I used the searching tool but it appears that I don't have any folder named "Saved Games" anywhere on my HDD.

Second problem: I found something, but I'm not sure what it is. So in the folder steam\userdata\"usernumber"\648350, I found the following 6 files.

Should I consider these files as the save files? If not, what do the save files look like?

Thanks for your help!

C:\Users\ name of user \Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Jurassic World Evolution - it should be like that. If not, then I dont know why, maybe contact support about it.

As for your 2nd question:
What you have there isnt the save files. Save files always indicate a word that you used when you saved a game. For example: If I name a save file as "Career Complete", those 2 words will be present as the title of the save file in the save file folder.

@Hykelion
Arf... I am SUCH a STUPID man! I couldn't find the "Saved Games" folder because it is not named in english but in my own language. And I never thought of looking for the same folder translated in my language. I feel ashamed.

Anyway, problem solved! :rolleyes: Thanks for your help!

Just out of interest, what's wrong with the current installation, some "crashes" have easy fixes.

For example, if playing on laptop or any other system with hybrid graphics / intel on board graphics, there is quite often a crash on startup simply because the laptop picks (for whatever reason) the intel chip over the installed Nvidia or AMD GPU. Going into the driver for your GPU and telling it to use the GPU as opposed to the intel chip fixes this.
