5 completed wing missions disappeared from my quest log

Did about five long massacre wing missions (40+ ships each), went on a 5K exploration run to unlock Palin, came back after not having logged in for a couple days and found that the missions all disappeared from my quest log before I could hand them in.

Seriously. There was no expiration timer on the completed quest, no warning, nothing. They've just been deleted from my quest log because apparently I took too long to hand them in. Those missions took a long time and I was counting on the materials from them to engineer my ship.

Has this happened to anyone else? Frontier support is telling me that there should have been a visible timer on the completed mission but I didn't see anything. Before the mission is completed there is a very obvious timer on the transaction itself. Once the transaction requirements are completed, the timer disappears. Why would I assume that the missions would just disappear from my log afterwards?

The rage is real.

I think the support are talking rubbish, there is no expiry on completed missions that I am aware of, unless it's totally hidden and is more than a few days. Did you see the rebuy screen at all since you completed them? It;s the only reason I can think of for completed missions to disappear.

Active mission could disappear during updates. Once I've even got message after update like "We've noticed you did some mission, it is kind of lost now but here is your reward which is equal to your average reward". I don't remember that I had active mission though, but I did not mind.🙃 It was a little more than 1MCr.

Completed missions have expiry, but it's not shown in the missions tab. You have to open a single mission to see it.

Not an awful lot of updates recently.....

(I agree with Aashen - massacres don't tend to keep a timer - no idea why they would vanish - I only tend to keep them over 1 BGS tick 🤷‍♀️ )

If it wasn't your wing mission, but shared from someone else, it will not be in your transaction tab when you log out or leave the wing. if it is completed at that time, you still have 30 days to turn it in for your reward. Your Inbox should have a message where that is. If you delete that message, the reward is gone too, afaik.

Not sure if it is the same with missions you started yourself, usually I turn those in right away.

In the 1st screenshot you can see that I completed the mission, in the 2nd you can see how much time is left to turn in the mission.

Hm, ok I see what you mean, but technically, that's still time left to complete the mission, y9ou still have to take the dude home, not time to hand it in. Passenger missions are unique in this respect, and I knew the OP wasn't talking about passenger missions as he said they were wing missions.

IMO you could cause some undesirable BGS hijinks if you could hold on to completed missions indefinitely.... so it's probably a good thing they expire.

I guess at the very least, the timeout should act like Community Goals, in that you still get the payout if you let it time out. That's what people seem to care most about here ;)

There is no displayed timer once wing assassination missions are completed. Like was said already in this thread, there's a mission successful message that expires in 30 days. I don't know how that's tied to the reward though.
