2 x NPC players in my ship

But why would a player join in a crew when he can fly his own ship?
It would be different if I could add my nephews as crew without them having an account.

Interesting idea, a live assistant who could connect using your account as a part of your crew.

big problem with humans is that you somtimes you get some idiots (sorry for that Insulting) which shooting on clean ships just to ruin your game

+1

Frequently requested but it never hurts to ask again.

Personally, I support NPC co-pilots and gunner simply because as OP and others have said...I don't like other humans. I do, however, play in open mode though I generally only see a fellow commander every few weeks. PS4 population is presumably much smaller. Given multi-crew gunner is a bust (rendering half the multi-crew ships pointless) I'd love to see the role become rebuilt with NPCs in mind.

The way Frontier does thing in this game makes me pull my hair out. You have a ship that can hold 100 people, but you can only have 1 out of the 3 crew you've hired, my crew is absolutely wonderful to they have made 6 million dollars in 2 days with their thumb up their happy place.

How can you have a ship with 3-4 seats in the cockpit a place for two fighters a place to store over 40+ passengers, yet you can only take one crew along?

Now I've just returned back to ED to give it a second chance, but as a person that only plays single player I feel cheated. We should not be forced to have the same npc limitations, we should get the full game so to speak.

I don't know that I'd go so far as to say 'we didn't get the full game'. Multicrew is simply a busted feature in its current form, that's all.

Now from a NPC crew perspective, I don't care so much about the realism/lore side (that matters, mind you) as I do the gameplay logic and capabilities. NPC AI isn't an easy thing to program but I would suspicion programming a second SLF pilot and/or gunner would not be much of a stretch for this team seeing as the existing SLF AI is actually quite good (relative to rank, as intended).

I think FDev needs to rebuild the NPC crew experience from the ground up, though. Cost structure, how they are hired, functionality...all of it. It really is a 'missed mark' as a feature with a lot of potential. NPC crew don't represent a challenge to PvP/Multi-Crew balance as even with all Elite AI a semi-effective crew of human players will be much more efficient and effective. Beyond the SLF mechanic, the gunner role seems particularly suited to NPC work more than player work.

I'd be thrilled to have a NPC gunner for my mining rigs or when running salvage missions. I don't need them (I don't need SLFs, guardian tech, SRVs, external lights, or landing gear either but hey, they're nice to have!) but they would add a level of immersion and interactivity not currently present. Like I said, I feel like NPC crew aren't so much a bad idea as one sorely in need of fleshing out and expansion.

I think it would make sense, and be pretty cool, if you saw your NPC crew member in the (or one of the) co-pilot seat(s).
