Yeah, Arkas was building water for the hippos and he momentarily chose rough water. It just seems interesting. We've already seen that we can build tanks so I am wondering if this will eventually be something that marine or semi-marine animals will have a preference for.Have any of the streamers used the rough water yet? I've only seen them use the calm water, so far. It might be just as you say: aesthetics. There might not be a difference other than one visually suits the habitat better.

I think that may be the case in the future, but even salt water is calm at times so for now I don't think that's it.Maybe calm is supposed to be fresh water and rough is meant to be salt water?
I do think you're right that it's decoration for now. We also haven't seen the arctic biome or a full product yet so maybe it's something they'll be adding before release? I do think it will be an animal preference - I hope. It's fun to speculate though. hahaIt seems as if they are laying down the foundations for marine animals. The terrariums are sort of build so that they possibly could used for fish in the future, and the fence thing that you brought up, so I wouldn't be shocked if the two types of water are put there for future plans, along with other types possibly being introduced in the future, like salt water. As for now though, I truly believe that the type of water is meant to be a decoration like in planet coaster. However, I have a feeling that certain animals will have a water preference as well.
I really do think they will. They're wanting to have an authentic zoo game and the only way to do that is to include all types of animals. And it's a largely requested and expected part of a zoo game. I really have no doubt on that.
Some animals prefer their water to be a bit of a bully.Does anyone know/have an idea of the reason that we can choose rough or calm water? I mean, liking the look of one over the other is self explanatory, but I am curious if there is a more specific reason for it than that.
Oh ok! Was that seen in a stream so far? I am trying to watch them all, but it takes time. hahaSome animals prefer their water to be a bit of a bully.
Heh. No seriously though, I think it's just a vanity. They are trying to give us options (different types of grass, sand, dirt, etc....) and there isn't really much you can do with water. Different colours would look rad, but I don't think that's what they're going for.Oh ok! Was that seen in a stream so far? I am trying to watch them all, but it takes time. haha
Many features are ones they have already made in their other game, planet coaster so the difference between still and rough water is just visual it is the same with the different types of soil.Does anyone know/have an idea of the reason that we can choose rough or calm water? Yeah, I think it will be great for creating brooks or generally something that resembles running water.I saw bestinslot's second stream, and the rough water is just water you'd probably find in rivers and lakes.
