General / Off-Topic Supermarket or Walmart?

As I'm packing up and getting ready to head out to the farmers market, I stopped to wonder how everyone gets their food? So, where do you go to stock your pantry?

My wife and I usually do most our produce shopping at a local coop and, when in season, the local farmers markets. We do bulk meats, ground beef, chicken , at Costco and specialty meats at a local butcher.

In case of curiosity, the coop is called La'Montanita and our local butcher is just called Kellers, after the family.

Kind of a no brainer as Wally World stocks the same stuff as the supermarket up the road but most of it costs 30-40% less.

They don't have scrapple though. Gotta go to Publix for that.

Albert Heijn or Jumbo.
Supermarkets.

Albert Heijn has some XL stores, that might be classified as a sort of Walmart.

Either way, I go where the discounts go.

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
Fry's or Safeway, locally. I avoid Wallmart whenever possible although I do pick up things there on occasion when the convenience factor trumps all.

I do Walmart online/curb side grocery pickup. I hate going inside. I live in Florida and "Florida Man" shops at both the Walmarts around here. If you don't know who Florida man is then just google search Florida man headlines. For a something quick we go to Publix. It's a much nicer but more expensive southeast chain grocery.

I tend to shop locally, occasionally cycle to supermarkets.
I avoid Asda and Spar. I will never shop at Spar.
Other than that, it's all price vs quality.
I wish we had a decent market.

Tesco or Iceland's for the main shop
Budgens, just for the milk, no car means it to much hassle to carry it home from the other two. I often get a few others bits it there as well to make it up to a fiver so I can use my card.
Morrisons (when in Loughton)
co-op usually when I go to the GP, or Pharmacy or when walking home from the Gym.
Romford Market for potatoes and some veg, very rarely

My house sits between 2 major grocery stores.
Check flyers for specials, goto both stores, buy those things on sale.
Repeat daily, as teenager eats non-stop.

I used to work at Bournemouth Safeway (UK) as a teenager and rose to ''Produce Manager'' (Temporary) by the age of 18.... then Safeway up and left UK. closed ALL their stores... sad loss ...Question: In US, do Safeway Produce Department staff still wear green aprons, white shirts and bow ties??? Just askin, just reminiscing. o7
