I've seen reports that the MSI card will launch the 15th and the PowerColor Red Devil is out the 13th. Sapphire is still just "coming soon" No word on price yet for MSI or Powercolor. Although Overclockers.co.uk lists the Sapphire at £428.99. Which would be $520 US. As good as the 5700xt looks I would get a 2070S for that price. $450 is the mark for me before I move on to the 2070.

Yep, first reviews of various cards are coming in. Generally, they all look pretty favourable.
I wonder about one thing from Sapphire though. Did they officially confirm that the RX 5700 series will get different models? I recall hearing rumours of them bringing back the Toxic edition as liquid-cooled, but I wonder if they'll even do a Nitro at this. I'm not sure how much more they could squeeze out of the XT than what the Pulse looks to have done.

I've not had any heating issues with it yet. It went to 80+ when it was stock but I think it's well known at this point that the voltage and fans need adjusting. So I did the fan curve/undervolt and drove around Dav's for a while in VR. Saw temps in the high 60s/low 70s. I have headphones, a loud case fan and a window A/C unit next to me. So yeah I didn't hear the card. :)

I'm really pleased that the Sapphire's card beats the stock XT pretty heavily and finally REALLY trades blows with 2070S.
It shows that the stock cards really are temperature bound.

And yes, I'm going to try and wait for the Nitro (Nitro+, maybe?) as well.
I found out I've got a lot of time, actually as the next games I'm really interested in playing will start launching in October/November.
Plus I have to finish the two model boats I've got on order, which will take about a month so I won't be gaming much, anyway, except the odd Elite and AC:Odyssey session here and there when the glue is setting. :LOL:

Yes, it seems that as far as blower coolers go Navis are one of the better ones.

Since I'm using a smaller case right now (cleaning/repainting my old one) I think it helps that I have a 120mm fan in front blowing right in the intake end of the card. It can't be more then 2-3 inches away from it.

It's true that in many small, confined cases, the blower cooler can perform the same or even slightly better than normal axial fan cooler, because it doesn't saturate the inside of the case with heat.

A little feedback after getting my Sapphire RX 5700 XT Pulse.

The good:
Rock solid 3D performance, getting 105fps in REZ site on Ultra setting with FXAA x1.25 when I turn vsync off.

The bad:
The logic between the GPU and monitor is terrible. Changing resolutions results in lose of signal and have to turn both PC and monitor off to get it back. I managed to get 1920x1080p@59.94 resolution working but have to play everything in borderless mode or games cause no signal. The is something major wrong with AMD drivers with regards to EDID / DDC.

This could also be signs of a bad port or cable. I'd try cleaning the connectors and/or testing a different cable to see if anything improves. If your display has drivers you aren't using (yes, I realize these are just a list of timing parameters and not 'true' drivers), using them might be worth a shot as well.

What monitor is this?

It's a standard Hitachi HDTV 1080p which has VGA/HDMI. Tried 3 different HDMI cables. Was working fine with my Radeon RX 480 and my previous drivers. There are no specific driver for this TV/Monitor. I've been reading up on the issue and seems lots of people are having similar problems.

I have a Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse as of today as well. (Originally, I wanted to wait for the Nitro, but I got a deal too good to pass on, and I don't think the Nitro would be worth the increased cost.) Had some issues with custom monitors as well (I run an Asus MG279Q with the Freesync range modified to 60-144 Hz), but going from the 19.7 drivers to the latest 19.8.2 driver fixed them. Did you try that too? From what I hear, the .8 drivers caused issues for other cards, but are better for the 5700 series.

I'm using 19.8.2 now, still have the same issue. I have a semi-fix work around using Custom Resolution Utility to create a custom EDID.
