Gearbox teases major Homeworld announcement at PAX next week, could it be Homeworld 3?

Homeworld Twitter account fires into life teasing major announcement on August 30th at PAX West. Could be Homeworld 3 or Deserts of Kharak 2.

If only....
Love Homeworld and Cataclysm. Played those games many times.
H2, not so much, as the instant resource collection, and AI auto-ramp up to your strength at each level was annoying.

The way things are going it may well be some Battle Royale thing (or whatever the current in-thing is, auto-battlers?), so I'll postpone any pants-wetting until after the reveal.

On a sidenote, are we currently supposed to love or hate Gearbox? That seems to change rather frequently.

Depends if "Crazy Randy" Pitchford get a hold of a computer or mic..... Or leaves a flash drive with company documents and pron laying around.

No idea what to expect.

The original Homeworld is one of the only RTSes I actually enjoy, but the second one and the remakes seem to have missed the mark.

Did you try Homeworld: Cataclysm (later renamed to Homeworld. Emergence), available from GOG?

Emergence is definetly one to try. IMO it's the best out of all existing Homeworld games, and with an enemy that is genuinely terrifying (don't look up the spoilers!).
