Not like I posted about him already.Well, this guy showed what G forces a human can survive: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Stapp

All they had was RAF handlebars.I thought you'd talk about the moustache.
XB-70 Valkyrie seats.I'd actually expect the type of harness needed for our vessels would be a "clam shell" that would embrace the entire torso, leaving only arms and legs free. Something to reinforce the neck would definitely be advisable but maybe a bit restricting. I'd also expect gimballed seats like you see in that one racing vessel used in the Expanse.
Its a velcro suit in a velcro chair.
Proof of that? You never been able to get out...
Lol, yeahOnce we get legs FD will be able to include that wonderful Velcro tearing sound. Can't wait.![]()
Just like 2001, we can watch for minutes our holo trying to rotate ninety degrees, like the Pan Am stewardesses.Lol, yeah
I hope we get velcro shoes and a velcro carpet as well![]()
Potentially two reasons:Underrated comment. Take an artificial upvote.
Another underrated comment.
Also I completely don't understand why wtfdev had to go backwards and go with "no artificial gravity". But I guess if you want ships handling like WW2 planes ;P
Rubber suction cups.Potentially two reasons:
1. As an excuse to have 2001-esque spinning stations
2. In the event of 'space legs' we can have 'floaty zero G' effects rather than just boring walking all the time.
I'm sure most people have noticed the small blue patches dotted around the suit (somewhat like mo-cap reflectors), could they be micro thrusters?
Not too familiar with that but I get the impression it's closer to our in-game occupied escape pods than what I was thinking.XB-70 Valkyrie seats.
Krait's coffee machine with a cookie plate on the table and a hanging mug. Also everybody's hair. Also tree growth in non-spinning bio domes. There's artificial gravity whether Braben has said so in the past or not. I doubt he knows what's in his game at this point anyway.
Yes, it's just a game, but it would be nice if they admitted it...Not too familiar with that but I get the impression it's closer to our in-game occupied escape pods than what I was thinking.
And, thinking about a clam-shell design that locks around the torso... our space-suits do appear to have a rigid exterior wrapped around an inner layer. Given that the Remlock is supposed to "bolt" you to your chair, maybe that is, in fact, the clam-shell design I was thinking of?
I dunno... in the end, it's all made up anyway.![]()
Lol, artificial gravity confirmed in 99.9% of games out there. Boy you are on a roll today!
i guess if we can compress and expand space at will, we can also distort space fabric inside the cockpit a bit to compensate for any gravitational pull or momentum. this is also the only reliable explanation for ramming being a thing, and not vaporizing you on contact.
the holes in the remlock suit are just for convenient disposal of bodily waste. never fly without!
Sadly almost 10 years later no breakthrough to be seenWell, I’m no physicist either, but this is at least interesting: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.te...e-created-inside-graphene-say-physicists/amp/

FTFY. Still sad :|
You'd better stop cutting onions near me.Sad is the end results of Nicola Tesla’s research.
