And by “ED” I mean I have no idea how this got through the initial brainstorming phase. Why, you ask? Simple.

If the ARX income from exploration depends on SELLING THE DATA, this is ACTIVELY PUNISHING explorers.

Great move, can we fix this please?

Edit: oh, and the forum apparently doesn’t properly support UTF-8 or not, it’s even worse. It’s (badly) censoring being urinated.

Edit 2: I jost got 47 ARX for gathering ~22 mill in eploration data, and another 175 ARX for selling it. This design is rubbish.

If you go out exploring for weeks or even months, you will be completely shafted on ARX income. When you get back to the bubble, you are incentivised to hold on to your data for literally months, selling it a bit per week. And to play something else than Elite in the meantime unless you want to risk losing your first discoveries, billions in credits and thousands of ARX.

I'm pretty sure selling data is only one way to earn it. I guess we also earn Arx by scanning planets and the like.

Arx income is generated by "doing activities" - we don't know specifically what does or doesn't count. But in the livestream, Will earned Arx from exploration after doing nothing but jumping from one system to another in the tutorial. So I'd speculate that both jumping and selling data (and probably other explorer stuff, like scanning) all generate Arx.

As I said in another thread, it feels like the Arx generation rate is probably high enough that most players will pretty quickly hit the weekly cap just from doing normal stuff. There's probably no point in doing anything differently to maximize them.

Tried that, didn't seem too..

Maybe I needed to scan more things or different things?

Maybe it takes time to register? I tried exiting and re-entering the game but nothing. So, hmm..

Exploring myself currently, Menu Screen still states "MY ARX : 0"

My biggest Problem is something entirely different though.
I don't read "MY ARX". I read it like... ehm... something different lol . And I have to laugh everytime I read it. I can't help it. I blame the Forum where the "alternative spelling" came from :D

Seriously, this is highly irritating haha
