How do we earn arx?

I have about 10 hours of game play in and have earned about 25 arx. At this rate i need to do about 160 hours to make my max. It is gonna take me a very long time to earn even a small amount. Does anyone know what actions earn what amount of arx? It would be nice if FD posted a list then a player could make choices that may earn him a few items while he enjoys the game.

One example is an explorer who goes out in the black for a month or two, should he cash in all his data at once or spread out his selling of the data. Does all the arx come from selling the data or does FSS and mapping also pay arx? Same could be asked for miners.

I don't want to grind for arx but I dont want to waste my opportunity to maximize the arx I can earn.

I crashed my Krait and earned 5 arx, took me 32 seconds, so I win 🥳

Man, you just described a grind, right there 👆

Before this update, you got fun out of your game play. Now you get arx and fun, I dont get the point.

I think "Arx price list" is more complicated. Yesterday in quick session I've done:
-planetary scan job mission with two skimmers kill
-killed 4 tharg scouts
For this session I've earned 6 Arx

It is possible Nick is misleading us. When we circumnavigated Kumay he gave me directions to this strip joint. Lets just say that 6 hours of my life I will never get back :cry:. He owes me a couple drinks o_O !

I logged on last night to find I have 123 ARX - i have no idea how. I've done nothing since the update apart from log in for 2 hours and attempt to outfit my type-9.

I did report an issue to FD which they have picked up (Inara API not working) - I wonder - are FD awarding ARX for confirmed bugs ? if so that's pretty cool.

I am just mining atm, trying to earn enough money to have a decent set of ships - I've not done anything other than delivery missions, a bit of bounty and mining. Looking forward (a lot) to being able to try out the other aspects of the game without fearing I will loose everything - so I want a nice buffer.

I didn't even see that work - do you need to actually sell the module? I think I was repeatedly buying 1T then 2T cargo into a 2T slot - or is it related to Module worth?

Edit: Ah, seems it was 'worth'. Meh, still can't be bothered - combat is just as fast & more fun :)

I earned 2 arks just sitting in a station swapping modules... Maybe you just get arks over time, albeit a small amount if your not really doing anything?

I'm not sure, but I feel earning ARX is related to profits from various activities.
I did 5 or 6 trade runs in Python, which gave me just couple of ARX.
In another session I took Corvette to do Space Installation defence (played through 2 scenarios)- earned around 2.5mil in bounties and it gave me more than 30 ARX.

I don't much care for it as it promotes grind.

Trade seems weird to me - did one run and got a load of ARX. Did a second and got less. Kinda like they try and stop you grinding trade. But you get the same ARX / kill consistently. Need to do more trade and see if I can work taht out - I'm missing something.
