Tactical graphite - Has the lead run out?

Noticed something in the store: Where has tactical graphite gone?

I have it listed in the old packs i bought prior to new system. So it did exist (and still does)

It is not shown as an option for ships I did not have it for. The other tactical paint colours are shown.

Well if true, those paints were always the poor mans black Friday paint, which we all know is a one week yearly exclusive and thus pretty lucrative.

I think some stuff is mislabeled in the store too. There's a Viper Mk 4 paint that I swear is military blue but it says green. Though I AM colorblind...

Yeah, graphite is porous, light material used for strike plates in beam accelerators. Lead is heavy, very dense metal use for radiation shielding on the same beam accelerator. They aren't the same. Pencil lead isn't actual lead.

But yeah. Tactical graphite now means not much, since everyone is a nice hue of green depending on the night vision.

The above is included in the known issues thread so it looks like Tactical Graphite and the White skins are some of those temporarily missing.

I beg to differ. There is no ship that does not look good in tactical graphite, whereas there are many that look awful in black. Take the Krait MkII for example, all the hull plates are separated by obvious grey lines and it looks rubbish in black.

Krait MK2 looks awesome in black, correct. Phantom less so but still more of an AA issue than anything else I think.

I found the tactical graphite. It’s been repurposed as the only material used to build my Vette’s extra shield generator. That’s right, according to my module list in the right hand UI, I have a 7A and a 5A shield gen. 7A’s info looks normal. The 5A’s info only says “Tactical Graphite” and nothing else.
