Patch Notes September Update - Patch 1

And, @Will Flanagan whilst I have you attention [ if I do :) ], I just want to mention that with over 4,500hours in the Elitian Universe

There, that's how easy it is. I produced a buggy comment ... It's 6029 hours as of last night, although that is still over 4,500 hours :D

I've bin playing non stop after the update, and not until now (with my return to the forums). I didn't noticed anything that got broken. And only because an in-game message appeared that the serves went off-line.

But I guess you are playing a different game then I do.

Ow wait, I did notice some minor screen tearing now.. yeah, game breaking stuff.
Sorry Dusty but this is the forum for Elite Dangerous and not whatever game it was that you were playing.

Cheers .. for the patch.(y)

Nah. These guys need reminding that they work in a service industry.

Stuff like this update destroys reputation. And if a game company loses reputation, well... Well you do want to be playing in ten years time right?

Not service industry though, there's an end product produced. If the devs get too much abuse they may say "sod it, not worth the hassle" and close the game down as well. Middle ground is the best route, no lavish praise, no insults.

Because they are not responding to some of the rude messages being posted and politely ignoring them, so IMO FD are being polite because some posts here would get a big FU from me. When I was in working in IT a patient polite customer would get my full work ethic, rude customers would get the equivalent of spit in the burger.

This is an entertainment product, it's neither needed nor necessary, it's a game.

Yes but they are responsible for the they are continuously delivering no ? It is a job for them so responsibility.

this is going too far and it is unacceptable.

some people here deserve a temp ban from the forum that would make many readers a lot happier

I haven't even posted here for years and I won't post again for years unless the December update is bad

it takes a real show of an update to get me to come here

Well, to be honest, FD has had a bug tracking system early on around the early beta times. Then they scraped it. No way to report new or track your submitted bugs.
Then, some time ago, they added the new bug tracking system
we currently see.
I wonder if they shut it down again. It might be too talkative.

However I'm a fan of speaking openly.

Now, the few bugs solved is based on voting system.... If i would do that to my customers, wait, i could not do that-

Your car isn't necessary either if you have legs.

I know we all have different backgrounds and situations and all, but some of us have this thing called 'a job' which we need to pay for a thing called 'rent'. Having a car kinda becomes necessity for many of us when we stop living at home and start earning our own money. Just sayin'.

Look up "games as a service"

back when I was out of work and signing on, back in the days of your Giro being posted to you, mine didn't arrive. I went down to the office to sort it out.. the guy infront of me was screaming and telling and generally being an ole... he was escorted out and I learned, banned. I sat down and said to the poor shaking lass, "hi, I've come to have an argument please...." she knew the quote and laughed... by being polite and having a sense of humour, I got my giro issue sorted that day....

manners and politeness cost nothing, even to your enemies..

IRL I don't talk to anyone.

I play games to numb the crippling depression. So yeah, I get upset when they break this bad.
Ahhhh the old depression card...Having depression is absolutely no excuse for being rude and having a bad attitude, how dare you use this to justify your responses.
I'm tired of people using depression as a reason to be nasty to others in life when something doesn't go their way.
So a few things were broke in ED for A FEW DAYS....Big whoop!

Bus. Train. Bicycle.

Thanks, Will & team for the fix.

Commanders: this is just a game. Back in '84 we had a game, no updates, no new content, anything but the game and we were ok with that.

Do not worry, things are getting fixed, but it takes time. The hate only causes more mistakes if we make fdev hurry. That's human. So, ease up on them a little, we will get back our game...

I, too, find politeness helps. I can recall one telephone call to Revenue and Customs that started with, "I seem to have made a mistake, I am not sure what it was but you think I owe a few thousand pounds and I do not know why."

It turned out, I had made a mistake, I did not owe them the money and the kind gentleman on the other end of the phone dictated to me the letter I needed to write to correct the mistake.

Not an excuse. Just telling you why i live the way I do.

I want nothing more than a job. But every time I go out people attack me unprovoked.

Of course that's fine. As soon as I get upset though oh No! That's crossing the line. I'm hostile because everyone hates me anyway. I just go with it these days.

I've tried being nice. Not just here, but literally everywhere in my life. Literally everything goes wrong in my life. Everything. Yes. I resent people. A lot.

Yes, it leads me to be way too dependant on virtual escapes like games. There's a reason I don'tlike people. Because people don't like me because I exist. And it seems everything I do goes wrong. I'm just sick of it.
