I've gotten a bit bored of JWE...

It sounds farfetched at the moment that I've become bored of the game. I'm not saying it's a bad game because it is far from bad. The game is amazing.
What are some ways that I can enjoy the game more?

Well need a little information to answer that.

How many hours do you have?
Have you completed the campaign?
Have you completed the dlcs?
Have you completed the challenge modes?
What was the best park you ever built?
Do you theme your parks?

Right now I am playing almost entirely sandbox and trying theme the parks differently mainly by using the terrain tools and decorations. My current one I am making a "condor canyon" on sorna with the rock paint tool and a bunch of troodons running everywhere.

Hours: 396
I have completed the campaign.
I have completed the DLCs.
I haven't completed all the Challenge Modes but I don't want to.
Whenever I try to make a park it starts good but then I ponder what's the point? and it just becomes an unfinished park.
I do try to theme my parks.

with the new terrain paint and decorations we are able to make more interesting parks than ever before. Something I have been trying to do based off of how the youtuber BestInSlot builds his parks is try making a park based off of an idea that isnt really related to dinosaurs or a zoo for dinosaurs. He made a pretty cool park themed off of a resort with a huge "pool" area by the hotels and a cool beach boardwalk and light house. Even made a little "X" for a pirate treasure spot.

My favorite park I play in right now doesnt have any hotels or a lot of those types of buildings but has a scenic mesa with a hiking trail. I do feel you though there are times where I want to do so much more when making a park but with the severely limited decorations and tools we have its hard to come up with things to do. If you ever see any of my other posts you'll see a trend with me pushing "we need more decorations etc." because really just a few of those items goes a long way in giving us new stuff to do.

Taking a break from the game would help.

I love JWE, but I will be bored out of my mind if continuously play this game. I would play other games like ape escape, crash bandicoot, fire emblem, and others. I would sometimes play for a few weeks of JWE then take a week or two as a break. It's normal to get bored of something for so long and it is great to come back to the game with a fresh mind. Often times new updates and dlc would be out when I come back to play the game again, so it will be just as enjoyable instead of continuing this game with dlc after playing for such a long time. At least that is my take.

I've taken 8 weeks off of the game though.

At this point the only thing that will really make a difference will be the next big update/dlc hopefully in December. But that really depends on what that content is going to be though. Adding more dinosaurs doesnt really add more hours of gameplay or a whole lot of new things for us to do but Frontier seems pretty content with just releasing small dino packs for wahtever reason.

In that case I would go for challenge mode in jurassic difficulty. The mode I could tell is different enough from sandbox and campaign mode as the level of income and storms is harsher in this playthrough, it should be more to your tastes if you like the challenge more than the building of the park, which does get easier as you could get so much money after your 3rd species of dinosaur in standard campaign mode.

Dinosaur packs will keep coming, it has been a post release cash cow to make more dinosaurs to keep support of this gaming going. I love any inclusion as I am a large dinosaur nut and would appreciate a new asset in my parks. But I do agree that there should be more buildings/attractions to be introduced into the game. Those buildings are what makes park building more interesting. My favorite so far is the paleobotany lab as it makes selecting dinosaurs for each exhibit more limiting, which makes it more fun.

I would love more buildings like these. Or different attractions at the very least. Gondola lift, 360° view tower, balloon ride, underground view. These are some attractions I could see come into the game that would expand more than simply new dinosaurs. DIfferent buildings = different layouts of the parks, leading to more interesting park ideas and concepts.

But yeah, I would recommend playing with challenge mode to get those skins, try out a map and see if that makes things more entertaining.

It all comes down to the game needing more dinosaur animations and some randomization in the dinosaur behaviors.

If you have a stat buffed Rex or something it's always gonna win a fight and its always going to succesfully complete its hunt kill animation... They need to add some form of randomazition probability code that goes ok the carnivore has a 70% chance to win... So then at random a trike will roll out some narly impailing animation and kill the carnivore.... Or the anky hit the carnivores leg and brakes it then finished it off...

Same the other way around.... An over powered herbivore randomly slips or trips and gets killed by a weak carnivore

How about u put small carnivores in with armored herbs without carn feeders and eventually while starving the small carnivores will attack the herbs while sleeping and kill them or fenzy attack them while awake and die.

As others suggested a lot how about hunting animations where the herbs get away sometimes.

I've built awesome parks... Now there's notning left i want to build.... The game looks great but there's no random awesome moments that might occur that will make me run the game just to watch my dinosaurs. That's what the game needs.

Well I'm still trying to unlock the tiger ceratosaurus skin and the Beautiful green albertosaurus skin. However it gets annoying the moment you realize you can't unlock it without passing Jurassic difficulty in challenge mode. However I'm still entertained by the game.
