Thanks for the encouragement regarding my naming idea, folks!

Now, as gorillas are confirmed, I am thinking that I could limit my ape inhabitants to those animals fostered by humans and (potentially) rescued from unsuitable hausing conditions. However, I am wondereing if those animals appear often enough in the list so that a habitate can be filled (Gorillas are social after all and need accompany .

I guess, I will see soon ...

People should be aware that if they come up with a clever franchise name in beta someone else could steal it on official launch, it will likely be first come first served.

Are you suggesting that franchise names must be unique and can't be used by other players? Has that been announced somewhere?

I have never seen such an announcement but I assumed it myself. The fact that you can change it anytime makes me second guess though.

What is the point of a Franchise Name if it isn't listed in the Animal Market? Where else would anyone even see it? I was hoping that we could build a reputation for quality animals for sale by using our Franchise Name.

Yea I can confirm it will only list the name of the zoo from which the animal came from, not the actual Franchise name.

I'd imagine they'll change this after the beta, since I believe they fully intended to have the franchise name shown to the players that are purchasing the animals.
