Animal Architecture Competition!

Hey Paul,

How can I create the blueprint so that the terrain is saved?
As soon as I create the Blueprint, no water, no terrain and no paths are saved :(

Link to my Blueprint: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1873935298

I have also sent it by email

Are you guys aware of problems with Blueprints in the scenario mode?

Also the Chimpansee is mentioned in the game folders, can we expect it being released in the Beta? (As I was planning to build an enclosure for them)

time to improve my Underawter viewing hippo habitat! Doubt i'll win but might as well try! :D

current set up, let's see how much i can improve it20190926130747_1.jpg20190928092054_1.jpg

Hold on about we get the game 100% working and out the door before we start with any nonsense.

Looks like you've got enough on your plate full between releasing this game and fixing elite dangerous!

I'm sure there are different community departments responsible for contests like this, not the devs. Most likely have a timeline planned far in advance, cause you gotta do your marketing and stuff you know?

I really wanted to join this competition... i had build a habitat for more than 18 hours now, but saving the terraforming is totally bugged. I had also a lot of crashes... sorry but it is not possible for me at the moment.

Hi all,

For the competition you should submit a screenshot and the Blueprint link. The screenshot will show what the habitat looks like with water and terrain so that someone could replicate that with the Blueprint. You don't need to worry about that information not being in the Blueprint itself.

Well, my blueprint saved the terrain... sort of... I have my hill and lake alright (just have to fill it), but the habitat is elevated at least 4m above ground (I guess it's how deep is my lake) and all items (troughs, litters, playthings...) are floating above a hole. :ROFLMAO:

I have been having an issue whereby construction items that need to be placed in a "grid" are not showing when I recreate the blueprint. From the blue print screen shot it is clearly visible. Any fix around this? Cheers :)

Hey there. Are you saying the blueprint does not include the construction items? Have they all been selected and saved as the one Blueprint? If yes to both can you let our team know here.

Hi all,

Awesome to see the entries to the competition we've seen so far! Only one week in and already your creativity is astounding.

To those who are having issues saving their blueprints: we will continue to look into your reports. In the meantime you can submit screenshots of your builds to community@frontier.co.uk - we will not mind if there's no link for now :)

Hey Paul,

Firstly thanks for the reply. It's difficult to answer your queries due to the following:

1) The blueprint was created by clicking on the habitat boundary and selecting "create blueprint".
2) Contained in this habitat are actually 2 additional "buildings" in a sense.
3) when saving the blueprint, all construction items are clearly visible in the "screenshot" in the blue print creation screen.
4) once saved, when trying to build the blueprint again, all terrain, rocks, construction items appear EXCEPT items like walls, floors, roofs (basically anything that is placed using the grid system). I think habitat walls that have been defined as not being habitat walls also show up.

Hope the above clarifies. I will report this issue using the link provided.

Thanks for the great support and congrats to the team for creating such an awesome game. Can't wait for full release!

Cheers, Al
