No fines in squadron owned systems

Pretty clear.
You can do what you want (except block landing pads) and wont get fined.
System authorities won't come after you if you kill a player or a peacefull ship.
You wont get a bounty if you do something bad.
And the no fire zone does not exists/no fines for you (except as mentioned earlier, landing blocking).

Why? Well your squadron is owning these systems, so why would the system authority attack you?
Also you could act like some sort of police and destroy enemy players that your squadron is at war with without punishment.

I suppose that's one way to force your faction's will onto the plebs that dare enter "your" space.
NM, mis-interpreted squadron for PF.

Since all you need to get a squadron aligned with a system is to quietly drop 10 million in exploration data (to get allied) and then spend that 10 million on creating a squadron and attaching it to the controlling faction, this would require less paperwork if Frontier just implemented it by abolishing all crimes except blocking landing pads.

What's the point of controlling systems then
How would we know - since you can't.

Edit: Factions own systems, not squadrons. Factions benefit from owning systems mainly by being allowed to expand from the system. That's about it - apart from bragging rights. Squadrons don't even get bragging rights "Oh, you're squadron 'owns' Sol - cool - you chose a faction from a dropdown - well done 👏 "
