are we getting penguins or polar bears

i know we got some that swim but you cant have a good zoo without the cute penguins swimming about in the pool you made them also what about the polar bear them to from the list of current known animals they are not on there though i know that dont mean there not in the game but still i hope they are.

If they aren't in the base game, I wouldn't be surprised if they were part of some "aquatic animals"-type expansion. I would say "arctic" except that most penguins aren't actually from the arctic...

We're missing quite a few arctic based animals such as reindeer, arctic wolves, arctic foxes, etc. I have a feeling it'll probably be a DLC at some point

I believe all animals in zoo tycoon 2 will be. :)
I believe that only of the marine animals will come with DLC, already it would make more sense. just like zoo tycoon 2. :)
I don't think penguins will enter the sea animal.
but, I would love to see a few marine animals in the main game.

I might be the only person feeling this way, but I kind of hope they don't bother with a "Marine Mania"-style expansion pack with this game. I mean, it would be cool enough to have otters, polar bears, penguins, seals, sea lions, etc. I don't need to build aquariums. Haha. That could be a whole separate game, essentially using the same engine.

I'd much prefer they focus on mainland flora and fauna -- and expanding on that, rather than building in animals stuck in the water.

It has neither been confirmed, nor found in data mining, that polar bears and/or penguins will be in the full release. Until it is, I wouldn't assume that they will be just because Zoo Tycoon had them.

I disagree with this opinion. you say you don't need to build an aquarium. but there are people who want to build aquariums. because everyone including me is waiting for a marine mania dlc in this game. because it is one of the most important and largest expansion packages of this series. I want to make myself a water park themed zoo. I don't think you can limit me to this. Maybe you don't want to. I respect that. but The emergence of marine mania dlc does not distort your focus. you will continue to play the main game again. it all depends on how you play and how you think. :)

Since we where shown the filter Polar and Artic (saw them in video's, if i remember correctly). I am guessing we do get at least a polar bear and probaly an Emperor penguin (perhaps King).

That would be my guess. It would be weird to have a zoo game without polar bears. And Pinguins were pretty common in the zoo tycoon games as well. And there aren't that much other artic animals that could be in the game except the pinguin.
