Ideas Before Full Game Release: Carnival stalls, Marine mammals, More animals, etc..

They already have 50+ animals planned for full release which is more than generous. Any animals they haven't added yet such as arctic, Australian, marine, etc would most likely come in a DLC which I'm perfectly fine with. DLC helps pay for continued support of the game. If you don't want to buy any then that's up to you but don't expect anything big added to the release that hasn't already been planned when we're just a month out.

This.

Also, not to be rude, but some of these ideas seem kind of horrible for the animals...
It's a game about making your zoo, but it's also conservation-oriented. It's mostly about making the animals happy, the guests are kind of secondary IMO. (Zoo VS. Amusement Park with Animals serving as attractions).

I can't imagine how horrific it must be for the animals to have a bunch of idiots ziplining over them as well as huddling arount their enclosure to watch them...

The price of the game is a calculated amount, including the animals. Each animal takes time and effort to make. I don't like having to buy dlc, but if it's worth while I'll get it.
It's like making a commission to an artist and wanting it for free. I think we only have to worry if the dlc are over priced.

I'm fine with paid DLC, if its something like an expansion of the main game. Other than that, I wouldn't want lootboxes or having to pay real world money for conservation credits.

To be fair, we still might don't know a lot of species as devs never confirmed a definite number of species on release. What we know now are the confirmed species (found on various lists here) then we have the semi-confirmed from data-mining leaks, but there might still be more. Frontier said that we can expect a lot of reveals on 4th October when the World Animal/Zookeeper day is and also that they wan't to keep some secrets for release.

I still expect penguins to be in the base game as well as kangaroos.

Marine feels like a more DLC/expansion related thing, like other zoo games. Or a completely new game..

I'm expecting a lot of packs with different types of animals, like most people. Be vocal after game release, maybe you give them an idea. Personally wouldn't buy a squirrel/chipmunk/raccoon pack.

Kinda hoping some animals will make it in the final game, but we don't have a complete animal list..
We just have to wait and see.. They got another month to tease us with this...

I know. I guess my point was we already have so many animals in the game and it's unreasonable for OP to demand they "make more". Also yes some of those animals might make it in the base game, but even if they do I feel like themed-DLCs for animals and scenery aren't out of the question :) I'm hoping for a North American pack myself.

EDIT: Also I can't remember if I counted ZT or ZT2 but one of them only had about 30 animals in the base game so we're quite spoiled as is!

Zoo Tycoon 2 had 34. 30 at launch plus 4 like some bonus animals.

Zoo Tycoon had, I think a bit over 40.

Both games had nice diversity of animals I must say, but Planet Zoo rocks with roster so far, 50 beautuful animal species and there will be more for sure.

This game already has more than the original zoo tycoon, and more than its sequel.

I'm with you in that. Planet Zoo is some mixture between Zoo Tycoon 2 and it's two expansions African Adventure and Endangered Species and some new species, plus terrarium which looks neat in game.
