This is how this whole thing is....

You're entitled to your opinion and thats fine. But ours is more important so we're making a petition. We don't care about your opinion as we have a petition. We have a committee of people who sat down and decided whats best for everyone, again have your opinions but we have a committee, so we can't be wrong. You still have your opinion but you're wrong, know why? Because we have a petition, a committee, oh and some Youtubers agree with about 20 odd of us....

This thread and all the other threads about this subject. People have too much time on their hands, firstly to play video games (I do anyway) but to go to this length is legit...stupid

If you think that Frontier are doing a sterling job and the game is fine then good for you. Genuinely. But some of the rest of us don't. Please don't question our motives and integrity. We all love Elite and are perfectly entitled to voice a view with which you disagree. And you are perfectly entitled to voice your disagreement. But let's stay away from the accusations of lying, agendas, belittling opponents as a tiny vocal minority (not you but I've seen it said a few times in this thread), calling people apologists or carebears or any of the other childish nonsense.

As you can see in that Reddit thread some of the OL contributors may still be planning actions based on
timelines that we will be following closely for progress.

Please have your guess at what they may be planning in case said timelines are not met by FDEV.

This goes beyond simple awareness raising. At best it shows some of the OL contributors signed something without full knowledge of what may be actually going on. At worst it means those contributors knew full well and just acquiesced.

Hopefully things will get clearer soon and we can move on.

That's a lot of inference on your part about how the people involved feel about you and your view on the letter. Has anyone involved with it said any of that to you or anyone else? If they have then I completely disagree with that.

It's a video game. Do some research and buy the ones you'll like (that's the entire modes argument sorted out), if you burn out after 3000+ hours move on to something else or take a break for a bit. You can always reinstall, or not.

Trying to force the devs to comply is the wrong approach and actively reduces dev communication which seems to be one of the issues bothering people.

Some people take it too far and think they can browbeat the devs into doing what they want.

I think the only response to that sort of thing is a very politely written version of go take a flying leap.

Glad to hear that idiotic idea was scrapped.

Or if you don't agree with the petition, don't sign it. That's the point of petitions to show how many people agree with whats on it. There's plently of people here that said they don't agree with it, but i think that inferring the petitions intent in such a salty manner is kinda ironic, since it's exactly what you're accusing them of.

Of course, because it's a very valid argument. If people who are able to make correct observations are called apologists, so be it. So far name calling never made an argument invalid.

It's a fact that the forum went into silly places (well, more silly than the standard silliness) when they announced that fleet carriers get delayed. If we can't accept that plans can change they can't tell us about their plans, it's that simple. Everyone who was able to accept the delay was called an apologist, white knight and fanboy. So I guess we shouldn't blame Frontier but ourselves for the lack of communication.

We deserve more communication from developers and greater clarity in development road maps and we need developers to ask our opinion on everything they are planning on developing, because clearly the entire community knows what every member of the community needs and wants and what we each need and want should be obvious to everyone. We the people deserve to have a seat at the table of your company and drive your development as we see fit. How dare a business choose its own path and follow its own course for its own future. They do this for us you know, not for them. How very dare they!

"We've got 1000 signatures! What? Oh, those 2000 people over there? They don't count, they probably don't want improvements to the game anyway, so they are dismissed"

Have the Open Letterists decided when the 2020 release should be moved to (in order to accommodate all their changes)? More importantly have they announced how they're going to fund the delay for fdev? (Since, as Zac already stated, fdev need the 2020 DLC to make them some money, and it's not like fdev are choosing to add this extra work into their pipeline).

Well I'm part of the community & you can add my name to the Exception Clause of your petition.....as quite clearly, you don't speak for me, not in the slightest!

As for taking down your video channels....go on, do it!

I play ED, I don't watch someone else playing it.......I thought only my 5 & 8 yr old grandkids did that:ROFLMAO:
