The whole PP situation of recent times can be summed up when Paige presented a half finished charcoal sketch of Patreus on a Frontier Xtra. I had to embarrass FD to even get a response about Powerplay feedback, after weeks of silence after the Feedback Topic ended- unless you press the issue in a sensible way, it will be swept under the carpet. However the CMs can only provide information from the devs and management, so really this is their failure and not the CMs.
I will say the only dev who communicated well on PP was Sandro, no one else has voluntary spoken the Macbeth like P word since, or shown any knowledge of PP or its mechanics and problems. His communication was excellent, here and on Discord and he is missed because of his cheerful manner that was genuine. But in the end FD have to act, and on that they have a dismal record. It was a miracle consolidation got put in, considering.
After 5 years of FD adding no new gameplay to PP, don't you think some communications on its fate is better than absolute silence, especially when community groups are involved? Is it a disconnect that the programmers and planning just don't see and have to deploy CMs to soak up, and that in the end this anger is about poor scheduling overall?
First, as I said earlier I absolutely do agree that PP needs improvements (which doesn't mean I want it to be OO!!!

). I believe the last official reply to you was from Zac one year ago:
"Hey Rubbernuke,
Sorry for the delay in replying, I know you're keen to hear about the Powerplay details.
The focused feedback thread was always meant to be exploring content and measure on certain hot topic questions. It was never confirmed as a Q4 update, although I can understand why you're asking if it will make it in. Sadly for all the reasons being discussed in the thread above, this also isn't an area that will make it into the Chapter Four update.
I know your history as a mega Powerplay dude of awesomeness, but I think it best to be as open as possible. I hope you understand."
And:
"It's certainly something that the team were keen to add to the game, which is why there was the initial discussion. The intent is there so it may well feature in the future of Elite. I don't want to appear dismissive because I'm certainly not. I fully understand how passionate yourself and the other PP leaders are so I understand what the content means to the PP community. I know you put in many hours to care for and support those communities which is why it's important to be as open as possible now, to avoid disappointment later down the line."
For me that reads like they would still like to improve PP, but if anything it will come sometime in the future. While I understand that it's frustating, it absolutely is communication. It's just not the message you want to hear.
