The Fed. Corvette we lost...

I already steered away from that by suggesting such firepower on a new ship like the Constrictor. Make it a glass cannon.

Im all for a glass cannon, but not with three large and two huge.

As i said before, thats just excess for the sake of excess. For a ship like that to be even remotley balanced you have default hull armour around that of an Eagle. (Engineering giving ships way more G5 level defence than they have any right having withstanding)

"This would affect PvE", straight into "but this is what people do in PvP". Rapidly moving goalposts.
Nah his point was that even with shields nerfed to 1000 mj the FdL would still be effective in PvP.
And what is effective in PvP wipes the floor with PvE configs (except for endurance, which isn't relevant here cause bi-weave)

Nope. Not at all.

If you have PvP and PvE in the same game you balance stuff to PvP. Otherwise its all ends up being a broken mess where only certain things become viable..

See ED engineering. See ridiculous HP stacking, see the ever increasing punsihments for smaler hardpoints Vs engineered hulls. Etc.

Up to a point, two extra C3s are DEFINATLY that point.

I don't feel the current incarnation of the vessel is at all lacking in firepower, or that swapping the smalls for larges would significantly help it; the ship is generally distributor limited when under fire with the hardpoints it's already got.

It would not, however, take the removal of many optional internals to noticeably weaken it's combat utility and survivability.

Headdesk

Put it like this, a good majority of good pilots use a 850-1kMJ biweave and no banks. In PVP.

The FDL is potentially the most agile medium outside of the Chieftain, only that drags its bottom across the carpet like the FAS. You should not be even getting shot by NPCs with thier g1/g2 drives at best.
1 vs 1 sure, against multiple enemies when backed by a wing, sure. When it becomes asymmetric, not so much. The worst haz res wings are 3 medium to large ships with a fighter each. It gets even harder when soloing a wing assassination. You can't dodge them all at once. And then it's quickly game over.

Biweaves only regenerate when not under fire.

Nothing makes you feel more invincible than flying in a high CZ getting under attack by a full wing of spec ops and then you destroy your opponents one after the other, casually double-banking after losing a ring of shields to be at 100% again ☺
Hmmm, I currently have those Size-7 slots as cargo, so I can have a constant cloud of collector limpets surrounding me, vacuuming up the debris of my enemies. Might have to think about the benefits of an SCB though. :)

Haz res wings.

For reals. Seriously those poor excuses for big ships take less than thirty seconds each for a good FDL, probably closer to ten for many people.

Nope, Coriolis is a blunt instrument and has all the pitch yaw and roll stats after engineering wrong. Use EDSY. Corvette has the manuveraility advantage full stop
I fly both ships in comparable configs. Anaconda and Corvette manoeuvrability in normal space really are equal.
, ontop of that, it's surivabillty is much greater than the Anaconda so despite the larger volume of hardpoints on the Conda it will near on always beat one out if pilots and loadouts are equal.
I don't agree. Higher DPS of Anaconda can drop shields on Corvette pushing through SCBs (even easier with feedback cascade rails). I think Anaconda and Corvette are quite evenly matched.
,As has been repeated ad infinitum when this subject gets brought up, you can't just add extra guns to a ship and call it a buff. Thats not how balance works.
Seriously people advocate for crap like this but when presented with sensible buffs or nerfs to other ships they bury thier head in the sand and deny anything is wrong.
For goodness sake the big ships can already outtank anything that isnt a big ship just be virtue of SCB and MJ stacking why exacty do they need more firepower?
Why this ranty bit?
