Yep, that's what I use them for as well. Those are quite useful for dual feedback rails![]()
I have a Repair Limpet Controller on my ship and 1 x small Beam lazer with Concordant Sequence and 1 x small Beam lazer with Regeneration Sequence (I haven't worked out which is better for repairing shields).
I kinda consider those small hardpoints as utility weapons also...
But depending on the circumstance, I've really made use of a few different combos.
I've considered exploring a screening shell frag turret, and I've used a turret cannon with the gimbal disruption effect a little.. not sure how useful it was tho - since the ship is so big.
- long range pulse turret with emissive (can draw ships to you in CZ's and wherever, and they don't disappear)
- extra ammo frag turret w/drag munitions (handy for swarms of small ships in comp. nav beacons, locks them down so you can finish them quick)
- If I'm going to run a scramble spectrum, it's a good spot for it.
- Extra ammo multi w/corrosive for just the salt & pepper when I want to apply the effect. (I'll often run a PvE build which doesn't require ammo refills so I can stay out longer)
I like the idea of the feedback rails in that slot... I'm going to probably look into that.
Cheers... o7
Probably a little excessie having three large and two huge when the thing turns on a dime compared to the other bigbois.
Everyone would just fly Corvettes because nothing else would be able to compete outside of exceptional pilots with serious builds.
We all know how hard the Krait MKIIs are to kill in 1v1 when they are engineered, imagine both those mediums being huges only with 6k+mj of shields on top of that.
Big ships have too mcuh going for them already and require no sacrifices really, asking for that much firepower is just greedy.
If we consider it a multi role - you right.
But if we image it could be combat focused ship... with less internals...
That it make sense.
Yep, kinda Mamba, large version. Could lose the fighter bay as well.If we consider it a multi role - you right.

A G5 large ship quite frankly needs no increase to thier capability whatsoever as there is nothing in game that can make one of those ships stop killing outside of really high end thargs or even higher end PvP pilots. No NPC is ever going to stop a G5 Corvette so giving it any more firepower or any other advantage is just excessive for excess' sake.
Bring back rapid fire railgun/PA NPCs!
Small's are good for weapons with effects. Or u could put 2 Cytoscramblers... Insane DPS on shields, extremely short range... Fun thing to use.
Gona make Challenger with 3 of thous small beasts))
And then put phasing on three of themThat's really interesting... thanks!
It's one of the few PP weapons that I don't have actually. I'll pledge for that when I get back on.
I think it's cool that it's so useful for pirating type activity where you don't want to damage the hull so much... and that it's a class 1 laser with nearly the power of a class 4 pulse (before engineering).. sounds very good...

If it loses enough optional internals, why not ? As I said, a large ship like the Mamba. The Constrictor would be still availableSo you guys want a new ship then?
Good luck trying to convince FDev to give a ship 3 C3, 2 C4 and a C2.
Noone in thier right mind in charge of this game would allow such a loadout unless the ship had the turning circle of a moon. xD

Only in supercruise the Corvette has a manoeuvrability advantage over the Anaconda. In normal space the pitch rate of a Corvette is equal to an Anaconda's (with 2-4 pips in ENG, see coriolis). Also the Anaconda is 10-15 m/s faster in normal space. Corvette roll rate is 10-15% better than an Anaconda's.
I think the Corvette's armament is slightly underpowered for a top range combat ship and it also suffers from too widely-spaced hardpoints (convergence problem). It should have had 2 small + 2 medium + 2 large + 2 huge hardpoints. That is the same as the Anacona but with one large converted to a huge. The convercenge problem could be solved by moving the 2 mediums and the two large hardpoints to the nose of the ship like on the Anaconda or the Python.
Not entirely unusable maybe, but surely difficult. There's only so much hull you can get with those limited internals, and despite it's hardness being up there with the big boys, it's hull melts pretty quickly when the shields are gone.Because there is more that dictates a ships capability in combat than "number of internals" lol.
Are'nt you the same guy that thinks having the FDL have it's shields nerfed would make the ship unusable in PvE?
I already steered away from that by suggesting such firepower on a new ship like the Constrictor. Make it a glass cannon.Seriously people advocate for crap like this but when presented with sensible buffs or nerfs to other ships they bury thier head in the sand and deny anything is wrong.
For goodness sake the big ships can already outtank anything that isnt a big ship just be virtue of SCB and MJ stacking why exacty do they need more firepower?
