For those who Deliberately Did Not Sign the Open Letter/Petition - Why Not?

I did not sign the petition/open letter - deliberately.

For those people, like myself, who deliberately did not sign the recent petition to Frontier, I think there needs to be a forum for their reasons to be aired. Because those voices need to be heard also and are silenced by the louder voices.

Because one of the points I strongly did not agree with.

Please give your reasons if you deliberately did not sign. Or even if you did sign but some of the points you disagreed with.

Should have posted this, just assuming everyone knew about it :-( -> https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/video-open-letter-from-community-to-elite-dangerous.524656/

Dont want the thread to descend into a discussion of my reasons. If there are good, valid discussions going on then I will throw them in later. And these were not the only points raised.

There are things that happen on this forum that get my attention, things I would gladly sign a petition for (or a card) or even donate money. This wasn't one. When the thread starter, though an entertaining gent, is noted for creating an account just to gank noobs during a live stream, that's not someone I will look to for guidance on how to make the game more enjoyable for all. Same for others in the pack who make their lulz in non-community focused ways.

Basically, don't prey on the community then expect them to join your cause when you feel your fun has been dampened. They've been dealing with it since the start.

To be fair, there was a thread about the petition, but the mods closed it and the discussion moved to the thread of Yamik's video.

It's just a game, at the end of the day. Bought it on a (very) sale price on Steam with the Horizons also at a discount, so I doubt FD made much money out of me.

If it stuffs up, got plenty of other games to play or real life matters to attend to.

If it vanished tomorrow and the servers went dead, well it was an interesting diversion while it lasted!

Petitions should be for real world issues that could affect quality of life (like the current political debacle in the UK) not a malfunctioning PC game!
