For those who Deliberately Did Not Sign the Open Letter/Petition - Why Not?

It's just a game, at the end of the day. Bought it on a (very) sale price on Steam with the Horizons also at a discount, so I doubt FD made much money out of me.

If it stuffs up, got plenty of other games to play or real life matters to attend to.

If it vanished tomorrow and the servers went dead, well it was an interesting diversion while it lasted!

Petitions should be for real world issues that could affect quality of life (like the current political debacle in the UK) not a malfunctioning PC game!
I was going to write something here but you said it better

I must admit i have never read it. My issue is the ADS and i can only handle one battle at a time. I do wish them luck tho with whatever it is they want. I must point out that if you ever paid for anything with at least a debit card but probably all cards, they took a billing address off you, so they already know who you are. Assuming the card was in your name of course

I didn't sign because Ive been busy with real life family stuff :( so I hadn't sampled any of the issues, in fact to be fair I've not played in ages until last night.

The beta test idea is an obvious one, but I suspect Frontier knew about the bugs and released anyway, so it was a beta test ;) I doubt they missed those bugs personally, but who knows...

Communication... Don't have any issues myself. My blog lives off what might or might not be coming and between patches it's pretty quiet (although I did link today to a video showing space dredgers that appeared and disappeared in the 2.4 beta). So I wish they'd spill some beans, but begging them won't make it happen any faster. Maybe if I made money off them opening their mouths I might say other wise....?

Signing a petition which someone set up off there own back, is an entirely optional action. The default position for most players will have been not to sign it owning to not knowing it existed as they just play the game and may never look at Reddit or the forums etc.

So why does there need to be a forum to say why or why not? You ascribe far too much importance to someone's pet petition.

I said elsewhere that stating there is a petition reminds me of the Knights Who Say Ni demanding a ........ SHRUBBERY!

Another British comedy comparison was when Rik (Young Ones) decided to write a letter of complaint about Vyvyan to Echo and the Bunneymen. “Dear Mr Echo...”

I don’t believe that these things work in most cases. I’d love to see some data on these online petition sites about how many were actually successful in what they were asking for.

I barely scanned the details of this one, the stuff about fixing bugs doesn’t need a petition. The bugs have apparently been well documented and remain. A petition is hardly likely going to change that. It felt a superfluous request. We know there are bugs, Fdev know there are bugs. We know Fdev know. Fdev know we know. We each know the other knows we each know. What use a petition?

The stuff about communication I just don’t agree with. I don’t believe that Fdev are under any obligation to tell me anything. I purchased the game, the conversation ended there.

Everyone has the right to have an opinion but in the last 20 years or so it seems a lot of people have added “Which then must be responded to by (insert game makers, TV stations, politicians and so on)”. That’s really where I fall down with these things, it smacks of demanding a response as though you’re absolutely entitled to one. In this particular case, I don’t believe you are.

No point. People complained about the bugs that were unleashed with the September update. Every update in every game in the history of computer games has some varying degrees of bugs. Frontier is and has fixed most of them. Deal with it in the meantime. If not, play a board game.

Oh and iPetition? Sketchy, guys. Seriously.
