No , I asked Michael that recently and he said there was enough for the time being not to have to do that.
I can see this developing in to a separate in-game activity "NPC Spotting" in the same was as EddieSpotting.

PS : I know all about what was discussed etc about the use of the names, I'd just prefer if the player submitted ones were left intact.... Randomising others is easy.... RND(List of forenames) + RND(List of surnames).. Simple... In my day-job I work in CRM and have to create thousands of test names, addresses and phone numbers (all of which have to be realistic along with plausible postcodes) and have created generators to do this.
If anyone happens to meet an NPC named Arkady Nikelyovich Bogdanov, I'd love to have a screenshot. It's the NPC name I picked.
(Bonus points to anyone who knows where the name comes from.)

I dont mind the Cmdr names so much as that is common for multiplayer.
I remember asking at the time if names would be checked before being allowed, flesh gorgan seems a bit borderline...
But I do hope my Solo experience is not full of npc's with names like 'Mike Oxbent' , or 'Ben Dover'.
And how did 'Isaac Newton' get in there?

i will make a note of names... when i can get in.
been doing tutorials so far as could not get online to work, and i think that still uses canned names.
If someone finds "Gianmaria Obligis", please send me a screenshot per PM. He is my baby who has done a year a few days ago and i entered the name even before he was born!

I am slightly relieved that my NPC name hasn't appeared yet.
I called my NPC my real name. I'm hoping if we meet he doesn't have a better rating than me
I had a 40 min dabble. saw lots of names but i was in the rift and forgot a pad and pen.
only one i remember was... 1 name only (ie (s)he only had 1 name not that i can only remember one of the names)
