General Please allow us to gift ARX

It would be really great if we could gift ARX.
I have ideas for some giveaways as well as the idea of supporting some groups that are already doing competitions in-game.

I know your FAQ says "at this time", so I guess this is one of the things you're thinking of already.

I've then provided FDEV with a spreadsheet of how much I've spent in their store for gifts for my community members over the last 4 years. I won't quote it here, but it was A LOT of money.

They're shooting themselves in a foot with that decision imo. Also shooting a lot of streamers, content creators and community leaders in a foot

I really hope gifting will come back. Gifts like paintjobs as contest/event prizes were always a great motivator to get people to play together

I think this has to do with ARX implementation being not finished and lack of web store page at this moment (and I think they said there's going to be a web store page at some point).
I don't think you'll be able to gift paintjobs though, because this has become a thing handled inside the game with ARX.
More likely at some point you might be able to buy ARX pack as a gift and that's it.

That's all I'm asking. The point being that gifting ARX is like gifting money for Christmas IRL - you can do whatever you want with it. Currency is the best gift.

There could be various reasons.
F.ex. giving a 12yo 10$ is not the same thing as putting it in his game's virtual wallet.

Transfering money (both R/L and in-game credits) is understandable as it allows for farming and grey player market (see most MMOs)
But ARX wouldn't have this problem as you can only buy it for money and you can only buy cosmetics for it.

Or even... and I know that is a wild idea... gifting somebody a paintjob by buying it IN GAME.

Personally I don't miss the storefront. It was kind of hideous and convoluted anyway.
But they really ought to let us use our ARX as adults.

Slippery slope. If FDev agrees to allow players to "gift" ARX, the next thing you know there will be 1000 threads asking "Why can we gift ARX but not credits?"

Not happening, especially since ARX are earnable in-game. People will make alts, farm ARX and pump it into main account. Especially cheesy will be situation around consoles, and FD will lose revenue. It may sound totally insane but I assure you, people will start doing it, and it's even not that hard and time consuming, in comparison to some MMOs where it's largerly a thing.

This thread isn't about gifting ARX earned in-game, it's about being able to buy an ARX Package as a gift, just like we used to be able to buy a paint job as a gift for a friend.

Exactly this, our group had a reward system with Frontier Store prizes, and now we can't spend our money on this game anymore.

Dear lord yes please on giftable arx. This has been a HUGE thorn in my side. I've gotten a handful of friends, and my wife, into this game and it drives me bonkers seeing them flying around with no paint job, no ship kit, etc. But for them, while they would like these things, they don't see it as a good use of money since they aren't sure they'll play the game a lot. That's fine... but I do! I gotta look at your raggedy ship for hours on end while we mission together, so at least let me look at something stylish!

For the love of all that's holy, let me gift these people some arx so they can slap a fresh coat of paint on their ships.

It's been a while since Arx were introduced and FDEV acknowledged that this is not an ideal situation some time ago. Maybe they have an update for us on this?

Don't know that I would want ARX to be giftable, but would fully support being able to gift skins, bobblehead etc to friends (lets just assume i have some) and family, for the same reason as Ganogati, I hate having to look at their ugly standard ships. Space Barbies rules!
