COMPLETED CG Fight Against Scythe of Panem (Combat)

So, colour me perplexed. Despite the overwhelming support for Bruthanvan Co, they did not win the tick for the day. The conflict itself is still in a DRAW state.

This means that the Scythes are SUCCESSFULLY FIGHTING BACK, enough to stonewall progress of Bruthanvan Co.

So for those fighting for the right side of this, dig in, play hard, get your mates involved and push Bruthanvan Co back, if only to prove that I'm an arrogant windbag. The average contribution to the CG is a mere 1.3m per person... in just an hour's play and 4 medium CZ's cleared you can earn double that no problems.

So,
  • Keep winning CZs for the Scythes
  • Keep handing in bonds for the Scythes
  • Clear "Combat Aftermath" USS for the Scythes
  • Run missions for the Scythes
I noticed that earlier - are you sure they haven't just jammed the mechanism - as presumably they wouldn't want the war to potentially finish after 3 days and the few CZs disappear?

Plus, I heard that the Scythes wanted FCs before bug fixes. #JustSayin 🤬
 
One CZ does not provide interface to choose side... Broken.
The other CZ doesn't reset, so everything is green... Broken.
Sometime CZ is 100% red at start, very scary place, and then high wake doesn't work! ... Broken.
Multiple CTD.... BROKEN.

I was actually looking forward to this CG (and have enjoyed the few times it has worked). Oh well.

It's not good on Xbox either. I've done a few battles and now only Spec Ops showing up when dropping back in. I've reported it via the issue tracker but I don't know if it'll get replicated as it'll probably work fine again tomorrow. But for today, I'm done.

Yep BGS is disabled for ALL CG CZ combat... there is no tick for CG CZ.. as normal this is an artifical Fdev started war or CG event war, BGS does not run it..

Yes, and we all know who fdev (who just canned FCs, ahem) want to win. Fight back, fight for the Scythes!

Should not have left PS4 Grass is not alllways greener on PC match making servers...

Absolutely sure, if past performance is anything to go on. There's been CZ cgs since the short- circuit victory got put in as a mechanic, and those haven't ended early.

Not true, see above. Both LoR and NI cgs had active conflict trackers, though LoRs preceded the short circuit change i believe.
 
I just built a mean, spikey Python with some lazors and iHammers. Proudly sporting the Onionhead decal. Hoping to christen the PNV Nemea with some proper combat shakedown testing soon...
Certainly just PVE to start with.

I may just rock up in one of those CZs this weekend with a full MC turret build, fire at will, and not bother picking a side, aaarrrggghhh.
EDIT. And leave the paint job at the station and do it naked. ratatatat. grrrrrrr. ratatatat. aarrgghh.

The first shot that hits you will decide the side for you :)... then that side goes red... and the turrets will pick that side to shoot at, you get no CB doing it that way (y)
 
Wow Spec ops realy are a pain in small ships to fight... Phase sequence lasers and corrosive ammo after they take your shield down... boom Im dead...
Spent a bit messing with rails guns and they realy suck on armour even if you get a hit the damage is very little on even a ship like cobra its hull took so many shots...
Not a single Corvette again to assist on fed side...
One cobra just would not line up to die took ages... skip 1H to 1H 30mins just could not hit him... I switched back to icutter after...

Yes those spec ops are a pain to wipe out, even in a OP corvette. I leave them for the end, that way I get more kills than if I'd attack those first and get stucked with them during the whole battle. They don't yield much more reward than regular enemies anymay. Also, enemies rarely get interested in you if you don't shoot them. And if they do, just fly through a group of allied ships, one of those will surely drag the foe's attention away from you while you can focus again on your initial target.

On one occurence, instead of enemy spec ops, there were some allied envoys or messengers I had to protect. Now that was easy on the other hand. I totally ignored them, yet they survived.

Do we get any rewards for doing those "side missions" btw? I didn't notice any.

They help win that conflict zone instance. Only by a small amount, but still an amount.

For example, in a high-intensity CZ where a capship spawns, routing the capship fills the bar by about 20%

See below of a before and after shot of the amount the enemy got when an allied capship was routed.

As a general rule, you want to take out enemy spec ops as they're the most damaging spawn the enemy can get.

Although I take my time with killing them, they don't seem to turn the tide. At least not if you're quick killing the regular foes. Then your allies can also focus on the spec ops, allowing you to kill them more swiftly.

As a general rule, I'd say "kill the easy targets first, that's the quickest firepower decrease you can get those foes".
