After a period of time the gameplay performance starts to drop

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has experienced the same problems?
I initially started playing Elite Dangerous a couple of years back. It was on Steam then. Now, no longer on Steam the same problems are occurring again. What are they? Well firstly after a couple of hours gameplay framerate drops drastically where the game will freeze for a second when going into hyperspace and by stations. On top of that, I lose both left and right thrust capability in both Frame Shift drive and normal space. Come to think of it, I also lose vertical as well. This of course makes things tricky leaving the only option but to restart the game.

Have you experienced these problems?

Though I played on an PS4 and Xbox the past two years, I did experience some slow down after about 6 hours of playing. The same now that I'm on PC. I do have my device on a long time each day. I've taken to shutting of the device which ever I play on and allow it to cool down or calm down or ... for a half hour or so, then it's good to go again.

Thanks for your help. I just noticed that after about 10 mins, flying a FerDeLance in a RES, the thrusters just stopped working completely making combat incredibly hard. Oddly enough, never had that problem with the Python I was previously flying. Must be a FDL error I reckon. Although the game performance does drop significantly.

Did you keep an eye on your fuel gauge...
