General Ability to sell materials

For those players who can't access engineers or who have no intention of using the engineers, there should be the option to SELL materials, not just trade them.

If I want to play a salvager, I'm dropping into every signal source and most contain only materials. Being able to sell them would surely increase the enjoyment of the few salvagers there are, or indeed increase the viability of being a salvager.

I don't really get behind what you're proposing. If one has no access to engineers, one has no need for materials.

What do you mean about "selling"? Selling it to the npc market? Okay, cool, I could deal with that. Selling to players? Oh gods I wish I could sell anything tradeable to other commanders.

You kind of answer your own query. If a player has no need for the materials, why can't they make a few credits by collecting them to sell to the material trader (not other players)? Doesn't need to be lucrative.

Think of salvager or search and rescue playstyles. I already gave an example in my original post...

Thought you want to sell them to Non-Horizons-Commanders who have no engineer-access at all.
