LONDON: BREAKING - FRONTIER CANCEL XMAS.
A spokesperson for the Government expressed dismay at the cancellation of Xmas due to the lack of new-look ice planets in Elite Dangerous, a space video game made by Frontier Developments.
"I'm disappointed for everyone - especially the retail sector who will lose millions of pounds" said the spokesperson, "we were hoping to sell Arx and paint jobs for Fleet Carriers but they have also been delayed. We will have to ration content throughout the Xmas period."

But only on a Live-Stream with technical issues that will fail to stream, followed by an apology that it will appear a couple of quarters into the following year...
I hope / wish / demand that FD at the end of the year make a video that teases what fleet carriers and the new era will bring. That will at least provide a guiding focus for us all.
Hmmmm, I have 13 coming to mine and have to cook for them. I didn’t think they’d all accept! Now it’s cancelled there’s going to be a lot of spare turkey. Spose I won’t get into trouble from missus for being a bad host when I spend Xmas day in my rift doing drunken cqc, so that’s ok.

If they updated ED at christmas it would not be playable until after the new year anyway. it's a tradition now

No, that way they would spoil all the very exciting stuff that will be cut out / reprioritized from the new era's 2020 release.
