Speculation on the new era

Nobody anticipating any kind of atmospheric planet, apart from gas giants? The "glide mode" for planetary landings is early prep for this. But planets don't make money in the store ...... unless it's base building.

New Era 2 (I'm getting ahead) might introduce Elite:Terraformables ..... you get the chance to terraform planets and introduce "life" and see how it develops. That would be a combination of ED and Jurassic Park, though.

I like the New Era 2 but get ready for mass-extinction griefers!

To speculate it is necessary to have a minimum of clear statements.

For now I am not aware of a statement from Frontier concerning a topic in the New Era.

For me I'd like them to incorporate a lot of what was in Elite2. With that game you genuinely felt as if you were on the bridge of a big star ship once you got one and had to deal with crewing issues and things. It was a great game in so many ways.

As far as "new era" goes. Well, they'd have to completely re-write it for Multiplayer to work even half well. I think it might just be that.
