How To Increase Education Ratings For Animals?

I dont remember, where i read this, but the education boards must be close to where people can see the respective animal within a certain time. same is true for the speakers. additionally you should place the conservation-info-boards, maybe one of each information (deforestation, etc.). I also dont know exactly how it works, but the rating seems to be an overall education level, wich increases with the amount of different animals. it seems not to be percental. in other words, it seems not to be posible to have a high rating with just one enclosure. does somebody know, wich role the other speakers for ambient play?

Apparently there's a difference between overall education rating for your zoo (measured in stars) and an education rating for each species in your zoo (measured by percentage). There are challenges in franchise mode to "increase education rating for so-so species to 10%" and then it says your current percentage for that species. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Overall education in your zoo seems fairly easy to achieve, I got the max education achievement last night I believe. It's the individual species I don't understand at all. The exhibit is small, so it's almost impossible not to see the ostriches from all points. There are two exhibit signs and two educational speakers, max research, nonstop advanced research, ostriches teeter but are always around 100% welfare.... I literally can't think of anything that would increase an individual species education rating. But it's definitely a thing, according to the challenges in franchise mode.

That's exactly what I'm seeing. Even with full research, a car doing advanced research full time, several signs and speakers, and there is still no consistency with the species education rating percentage. I've yet to see it go over 5%. I actually gave up and cancelled that challenge with my ostriches thinking it was just them or something. Now I have the exact same challenge for one of my small exhibit species... I can't get it over 2%. I'm at a total loss with understanding how this works :/

I think it has something to do with guest COUNT as well. Once my park finally got turned around and more people started coming in, my komodo dragons jumped up on education and hit 10% and I got the reward.

What I am thinking here is this is more of a rating of how well your park is educating "the populace" about animals, so if only a few people from the "city" visit your park, that means a lot of them are not being educated. If that makes sense?

Not sure that is the case but it kind of feels that way. Be nice to get a dev to actually explain the system. All I know is once my park count jumped from about 450 to over 1k my education jumped.

I suppose something is missing here. Or left for the future. For example, guides that talk about animal life for the groups. In my opinion, there are too few educational instruments at the moment in the game.

I had 1,000-1,500 in my park for the several hours I played last night and never got above 5% for any species so I'm not certain that's it either. But I'll keep building things to attract guests.

I agree completely. I hope in the future we see more educational decor, posters, different types of signs (preferably non-electric ones too...), statues with information signs on them, guides or educators, staff bringing exhibit animals out to display them/talk about them, etc. I mean, all we have right now is research which isn't even a physical entity, one type of sign and one speaker. We don't even have variety in these objects and quite honestly I think the signs are too big and the speakers goofy shaped.

But I definitely expect DLC for this game so I hope they address other elements in the game in those DLCs besides just new species. More themes, more decor, more items, more ways to educate, etc. The bare bones are good, I just hope the build upon it where they can.

But in the meantime, if someone representing FD wants to straighten out the nonsense that is the "species education rating percentage," please do!

It may be an issue where the radius of the educational speakers and stuff is too low for enough guests to get their educating on long enough to get the full effects. And if other guests block the info boards then others won't be able to see it.

Oh, I was going to note the same on the too few educational instruments being at the moment in the game. How do you think would new DLC for the game improve this situation?

Education is something that builds up gradually. The more educational signs, boards and loudspeakers the guests experience, the more educated they become. So you won’t be able to achieve a high education rating right from the start. You have to build up your zoo, add more habitats and exhibits, add education boards where guests have to pass, and you will see their education number go up eventually. A dedicated DLC is definitely not necessary!
