So are diseases disabled or what?

I know they were disabled in the beta and now in the full release I haven't seen my animals get sick. Did anyone get a sick animal yet? What gives?

Works, i got one very couple of years.. (mostly with the peafowls)

Also had 2 different ones at the same time, +30 years ago..

They work, and you can even have a pandemic if it’s not immediately cut!

That said, if you keep your animals happy and healthy and remember to quarantine them, it’s pretty rare. It looks like your doing a good job with yours!

Animals get sick, very easy if you got a cleaning problem.

Once i went away for 30 minutes, my cat stalked the keyboard and unpaused the game...
i had 30 sick animals and almost a heartstroke.
(No one died, i am proud of my overstaffed vet team. Worth their money.)

If you research early, take good care of your animals and don't put sick bought ones into your habitats, you
are fine.
As it should be.

I only have diseases with the gharials, crocs and peafowls.

Peafowls are 90% of the time the cause for disease in my zoo..

I think those exhibits are too crowded

Interesting, i never had a sick croc^^.

Peafowls are vulnerable because of their numbers, yes.
I had them sick all the time before i figured out the poo-below-the-shelter problem.

Peafowls seem to have a bug relating to cleanliness where eventually the habitat is never completely clean no matter what you do. That definitely makes them the species more likely to fell sick and spread viruses.

Well for me it was the poo-below-shelter-issue.

I have 15-20 peafowls now in a 760m2 habitat with a cleanliness of 100% after the keeper was around and no issues since i use a bottomless shelter.

I had this problem too, but I solved it. Keepers cleaned it to 100% and I made sure to make the next shelter was tall enough and bottomless.

But cleanliness keeps falling now and I have no idea why. I have checked below all the shelters and all decorations. I deleted EVERYTHING on the habitat, made keepers come clean it and STILL it doesn’t go up to 53%.

It’s making me sick of all the zoo.

I read about poo in the water and poo below trees/bushes.
I can't imagine any other problem.
I have 250 animals now and the only issue with cleanliness i ever had was hidden poo (and in one early case a keeper too few).

where is the difference in curing an animal when you researched the disease or not? in both cases vets took the animal to cure them in vet-station and brought them back afterwards. Where is the difference?

That fixed it for me too.. Poo under a rock/in the water/below bushes...
The crocs are doing good, since I overhauled the entire exhibit.

Still the peafowls have their moments with diseases.. Not that much anymore. (all diseases are fully researched for quite some time)
Maybe moving the exhibit could be interesting to try....

I got approx. 350 animals (shifting between 325-380)..

I'm just imagining your cat plotting to unpause the game: "Stop paying attention to those other animals and pay attention to ME!"
Did you hear a faint evil laugh when you came back to the game and saw the absolute havoc?

My animals have gotten sick numerous times. I do my best to keep the habitats clean, but sometimes it is just fated to happen. I actually don't mind the diseases because it justifies my vet researching it.

While she surly realized that i am unusual involved in my gaming, she still spends several hours a day on my lap, as it should
be for a 17 years old catgranny.
Furthermore she likes the cheetahs and snow leopards 😺
