Servers down ?

Somehow i prefer the stuttering of the last 2 days.
It showed disconnect from time to time, but at least it let me build most of the time.
Ah well, i know enough games that requires online features, guess i have to blame myself that
it startet with the franchise mode.

Hey all! Thanks for your feedback. We post on social media, as it is the quickest way to let people know. Even if you personally don't use social media, people post the Tweets and whatnot into threads such as these and spread the word. We can look at posting when things like Franchise Mode have server issues, but it it happens on the weekend, we cannot guarantee a forum post.

Sorry to reiterate, but this is the game's main forum. And it is expected the game dev to notify users about what is happening, not other users spreading the word from a social channel. You don't have any presence on Steam, saying that if people want to share the feedback they have to do it on the main forum, - that is understandable. Well, I'd appreciate if you could also pay more attention to the main forum.

Or do as a few others requested - post the message in the game. Especially if it's about scheduled maintenance.

Yes, still getting the connection loss. :( I really hoped they got rid of that issue, could not play the game properly the last 2 days because of that.

Yep still constantly disconnecting, annoying especially as I have a few days off and was looking forward to getting stuck into some building fun which I can't help but feel doesn't (or shouldn't) require me to be online. Ah well, the pubs are open now I guess....

 oh no, thats a horror story - I hear the vacuum cleaner calling my name
after some housework it will be "back into sandbox" i guess

Server went down around 10.30am uk time came bk around 3pm uk time. 4+ hours maintenance and everyone still cant play franchise mode?

Erm, sorry but who are you to tell a company what they should and shouldn't do?
No company has to do anything.
No user has to buy the game.
But as a user, you buy the game and put up with whatever way the company wants to communicate.

In this social media centred world we live in now, it's a vital tool to communicate quickly.
Posting on a forum is not as quick.
Hell, even if there's been a power cut in my area, I am straight on Twitter to see if others are reporting it.

Don't want to sign up to Twitter?
That's fine - you can look without signing up.
Or just sign up with a "10 minute mail" address and remember the username and password.

@SirTophamHatt Not only the post you quoted was my opinion and not 100% proven fact, but I actually fail to agree with you.

https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/forum-rules-and-guidelines-23-may-2016.251032/ : "Our aim here on the Frontier forums is to create a community where our fans can post between one another and communicate with the Frontier team."

This is why I expect the Frontier devs to communicate on the forum, and not only Twitter.

Also, the concern which was brought up: there was zero communication about the timeline of that maintenance. They posted after it started and then posted after the servers returned. It's not a due way to speak with the community of a game with online elements.

And even after Chante Goodman's post (in which they thank us for the feedback), there were 0 posts from Frontier here. So much for getting the feedback, I guess.

If you are actually taking it down for maintenance (IE not an oops everything died moment) then why not have something pop up in the game where everyone is sure to see it?

If they don't have time to make a forum post, do you think they will have time for coding an in-game pop-up?

If they have time to make a twitter post they have time to make a forum post. And many games have a news feed widget builtin to the menu that doesn't require "coding" to put out news information (aside from making the widget in the first place).

hope well be able to play some more in the next hours. Dont wanna start a complete new zoo offline, so im playing career-mode at the moment. tbh its quite boring, when you know its just for accomplishing the targets and not to build your "own" zoo.

Wanna build on my own one :D
