about JWE2

I think it's necessary to do jwe2, because there are too many things to change now, such as dinosaur 1v1, dinosaur action, map range, etc. if they want to solve the problem thoroughly, the workload will be very large. It's better to redo a game than that.

The workload of making an entirely new game is way bigger than improving on the existing one. So I don't follow this...

Exactly Marc...why invest all that time and money, plus going through licensing agreements again with Universal, just to make a similar game with a few new features, when they could just add those new features to the current game? What could they possibly do different in JWE2 to warrant a whole new game?

Frontier could easily milk JWE for years to come with updates, enhancements, DLCs, etc. When Jurassic World 3 is released in 2021 they can simply release updates to keep it current with the new movie.

That's right. Beyond sheer cash-grabing there is no reason to program a whole new game, which would either be the same game but expanded (in which case releasing it via DLC would be far cheaper for all) or a completely different game (say, a shooter or any other genre, which doesn't make sense and wouldn't qualify as sequel).

I've been saying since the start that all this talk about JWE2 is plain rubbish and I also think uneeded, because JWE can still be improved so much (and sometimes with so little: look at the sceneary items and landscaping tools).

People keep bringing up the 'game's engine cannot support X' excuse when they mean 'consoles can't handle X'. But they keep fprgeting there are usually many workarounds to any given problem in software development, it just rely on the devs' creativity and skills.

Perhaps the next major IP 2021 is not a Universal based game after all. There is irrefutable evidence for this already. A similar series of events of what happened in 2017 when they secured an unknown studio, which turned out to be Universal Pictures, before revealing the next big game to be Jurassic World Evolution.

Hint?

Two words. The first one starting with the letter “S”.

I would be fine with no sequel if they really did keep updating the game. But not just new dino dlc packs.... We need hundreds of new dinosaur animations for new behavior for this game to be fun for years. Not to mention scenery paints on all islands along with a ton more..

They say they have trouble adding something like sand to the sandbox island.... So if it's really that difficult i dont see how they can realistically add terrain tools, decoratuons, new animations to this game to make it better than us getting a fully fleshed out sequel.

Well, things like this do take time, if they can be done if planned and decided, of course. And there is still time for more big surprises.

In matter of fact, I am excited to know what the next major free update and major DLC will have in store. 1.8 was a surprise for a lot of people, even to myself to a degree.

You've been saying have “irrefutable evidence” for the past week on all of the JWE2 threads, yet you haven’t provided anything to support your theory!

Post your evidence, or is it not as “irrefutable” as you claim it to be?

Reaching out to community manager, Paul_Crowther, earlier, he says I can post my thread in the Off-Topic forums. So my plans of doing it here are changed around. He also told me, after I described what I did here on the forums, he told me teaser comments aren’t allowed, so I won’t do it again, and I’m sorry if I went to far, because you’re right, it is just a theory. But one I could at least give cited stuff about.

But in regards to your demand, I plan to do it after the next official reveals are out, because what if there is something from those leaks that may not be true for the very next free update and DLC that are coming presumably very soon? Or if I claim it to be false for those two next reveals coming soon and they turn out to have the stuff the “leaks” said?

It’s all about being safe than sorry.

Again, I’m sorry if I went too far, because I’ve had some rather personal history of being almost mislead to video game information myself when I was younger. So this off topic argument in this thread is over now.

100% agree on the first half, not so much in the second statement.

Dino re-sizing was also supposed tobe impossible, that was pretty much the term they used. And yet it came eventually.

Adding sand on Nublar was also said to be dificult, and yet it came.

I think JWE does have much more potential than the devs allow us to know and certainly much more than what people seem to concede them.

So I've been taking everything they told us with some huge grain of salt, not always truly believing them. Neither the 'good news' nor the 'bad' ones.

I just sit and wait, lately. JWE could still shine, or not. Although I think the current update pace and particularly the information policy will greatly favour future competitors, such as PK.

I'm not really into buying dino DLCs either, but that's pretty much what they taught us to expect so...

Since when starting from scratch is better (not to mention cheaper and faster) than improving what one already has?

Really, guys, stop speaking non-sense. There are lots of things to improve in JWE and a whole lot others to implement, but no sequel would fix that the way you want.

I also want to apologise for my blunt demand, I shouldn’t have asked for your proof in such a rude manner and for that, I'm sorry.
