Water cleanliness :- /

Hi all,

I'm trying to get through the campaign (at a snail's pace as I keep having my progress halted by little nagging issues I can't seem to fix, one I'll detail now) and what I've found is this particular body of water in the fifth campaign level is not becoming clean. It's shared by three exhibits all with multiple species of animals and I'm getting one diseased animal after another. As you'll see in my screenshot, I have added two water filters to bring the total number that are attached to this body of water up to four. This is the most common struggle I have with this game: I am not given any information.

The game is giving me a red alert - telling me, 'You got a problem over here!' But I'm sitting here thinking: Ok, game...So what do you want me to do? Is a body of water considered multiple bodies of water if a barrier goes through it? Is it affected by the number of animals that have access to it? Is this a glitch? Is this ever going to clear up?

Advice welcome :)

Just to add:
Animals become diseased the moment they drink slightly dirty water. It's not a percentage chance of getting a disease, it seems guaranteed they will but which disease is down to chance.

I sped up time and observed the water heat map. In this set up (with four sources of filtration) it took a year to clear up the water. It stayed clean for a few months and went back to dirty. I have absolutely no idea why.

If the game wants me to add even more filters, that's just not going to happen unless I get information about how this all works. Also, it would look like absolute overkill. I don't mind having to place the odd undesirable building in areas where guests have to navigate (I quite like backstage areas). But if you have to times that by an excessive amount then the gameplay aspect that is fun for me turns into work.

EDIT: I can't catch a break. I got tired of trying to make the other map work or at least make sense...Loaded up another and my alligators had defecated into the water which a keeper couldn't reach. Cleanliness is stuck at 57% meaning there's a risk of disease and a permanent notification. I can't remove the water as the terrain tools are locked on this particular campaign map.

Will have to completely dismantle the habitat and move the alligators elsewhere (because of poop physics).

I finished the mission up to gold rating of just adopting and releasing animals and not caring about the filtration system since even adding more didn’t work.

it wasn’t a requirement to make the water clean. Finish the mission, move onto the next map :)

but yes this is a good bug to bring up :)

Thanks for the heads up - I will be fencing off the water then and adding water taps/troughs.

Meanwhile, over at the elephant & zebra habitat, elephants repeatedly knock down a section of the brick wall. They are really, really determined to reach that polluted water.

I added water troughs for drinking and made a new little pond for swimming, but I guess the forbidden lake is just too enticing! :)

Have you tried sentry turrets?

No but seriously, I wonder if it's a glitch and if I should just try deleting all the water and placing it in again

If your in franchise for further reference you have to remove the water then the keepers will clean it then add the water back.
