Habitat climbing question

I have bulit an Orang Utan habitat. I designed it as crater/hole. My adult Orang utan can not climb the crater walls. Unfortunately the first baby Orang can climb out of the crater. Are baby orangs better climbers or is it a bug?

Baby animals can indeed reach areas adult animals can not reach. Noticed that in the beta while my adult ostriches kept inside the enclosure, my baby ostriches could run on the small area between enclosure and water pit and escaped by jumping over the fence.

I had the same thing with Rhino's, the habitat was all secure and then they had offspring and suddenly I have a wild animal on the loose. Had to put some more rocks around as SamBePunkt says you need to do a check on adults and juveniles. I like this as it makes sense.

Animal traversal actually seems to be based on individual size. Was fiddling with a rock bridge build for my saltwater crocodiles and the female could traverse areas that were too tight for the male. The babies go wherever they please. The whole system is pretty cool to play with.

I agree it makes sense in a way. One thing that is not realistic imho is that baby apes can climb higher walls than adults. Imho baby Orangs, Gorillas and so on are improving their abilities while grwoing up.

From german wikipedia:

"In the first months of life, the newborn clings to the mother's abdomen and until the age of two, it is carried on the raids, fed by her, and sleeps in the same nest."
