This would be useful. So when we are in the middle of nowhere, and the station doesn't have the parts we want to upgrade our ship or even the ship we want, why can't we, for a fee, and a wait, order the parts in like you would be able to any normal garage?
Even worse that we have to wait for 3 months for bug fixes to begin with.(Shame we have 6 months of bug fix releases before we get any new features eh?)
Here an easy fix for you. Get elite in one of 3. Trade Combat or Exploration and you can get all your parts at the Founders world. I know you will try to go it is too far. This game does not hold your hand because you want a short cut.So when we are in the middle of nowhere, and the station doesn't have the parts we want to upgrade our ship or even the ship we want, why can't we, for a fee, and a wait, order the parts in like you would be able to any normal garage?
I doubt fitting something to a ship in elite is an easy task, not something someone could just do probably![]()

Just remembering some of the old topics when the Devs did talk. Some parts it easier to get some stations than others Depending on the system and station. It like you are not going to find the Best FSD at an extrusion site but you will find mining equipment.Well ok, but we can already ship modules we have bought and stored somewhere, to our location, this would mean you can do the same, just without having to fly back to that station, buy the module, store it, fly back to the place you wanted it, and transfer it.
The issue I see with it is there need to be new UI created.
Considering how easy the exploration Elite & Shinrarta Dezhra permit is to get, seems like a non-issue nowadays. I started Elite like two years ago and the only thing I really ever scouted parts (and credits) for was my first Asp Explorer.Part of the fun of new players is finding the location to get the best equipment.
I started when the game started. Now I have 3 accounts. It uses to take a long time for any Elite promotion. I have done trade Penniesless to Elite Trader in 16 hours on a new account and had over a billion credits earned. Now Exploration it only takes a few weeks to get Elite Exploration and combat take the longest.Considering how easy the exploration Elite & Shinrarta Dezhra permit is to get, seems like a non-issue nowadays. I don't really have a strong opinion about that, merely pointing out that very early in the game station-based part availability turns from a task into a (rather pointless) inconvenience.I have to say if you have access to Founders world you really don't need delivery.
You know if everything was handed to you on a silver spoon early on. Then why play the game? It would be like asking for an I win feature before the player learns how to play the game. Sounds stupid right. Part of the game is going ok High tech worlds might give you this tech. Refinery worlds might give you that tech and say Ohh I get it now.I don't really have a strong opinion about that, merely pointing out that very early in the game station-based part availability turns from a task into a (rather pointless) inconvenience.

Having less pointless inconveniences, especially to new players, doesn't mean getting everything handed to you on a silver spoon. You know if everything was handed to you on a silver spoon early on.
Nobody hunts for parts. The game does not have a means to even do so. You look online and then go to the place you want. Usually based on discounts. You could always use the thing where you pay credits for remote info. That would be fair and convenient.Having less pointless inconveniences, especially to new players, doesn't mean getting everything handed to you on a silver spoon.
Hunting for parts seems to be one of those inconveniences - you learn to hunt for parts (not that it's rocket science, just search Inara or EDDB), but then you don't actually need to know anything about that at all because everything is available at Jameson's, and even cheaper.
