Hello zookeepers!

Now that Planet Zoo has launched, we think it's time we really start testing your creative brains! We're on the lookout for people who understand how to make a small space look absolutely exquisite and who understand that all animals deserve a stunning home to live in. Whether it be by building a modern infrastructure around your Puff Adders, or intersecting foliage to create a Brazilian Salmon Pink Tarantula exhibit in a jungle-esque area - all of your animals should be treated with the same amount of care, and your guests should have something mind-blowing to look at.

I like that idea
so does that mean one exhibit plus foliage + decoration around it ( which would make more sense to me)
or
can it also be a bigger building with more exhibits?

It can be both! We're just asking you to make your exhibits look good, however many exhibits you use to do so is up to you! As long as we can see you're using the exhibits in any screenshots you send us, it's all fine!

The 'whatever it may be' we enter the competition with may include and rely on paths even if they are not able to be included in the blueprint, right? (Btw, paths included in blueprints would be something wonderful!)

dude anyone can build seek me out on steam and check my blueprints, if im able ill be happy to help you out. (my entry blueprint took 6 hours to get proper)

I'm not at my computer right now, but I certainly will later. I was very upset. I spent 2 days building my African safari habitat and it honestly doesn't look that good. One of my guests said something like "this scenery looks horrible!" And I just thought "I tried, okay!?!"

will give you some insights into how we used to build in planco. another dutch man has great videos on how to build

I'd love to see them. Is he on youtube? Are they in English?

I feel like I'm a pretty good builder in the sims. I don't think I lack ideas; it's just I need to get used to the mechanics and especially understand what objects are available and how they can be manipulated.

look up silverette he's from my country and a way better builder then me, i took most of the learning from his constrution tutorials. also the selection + tool can be really helpfull if yoiu wanna build things under different angles other then the one direction u wanna build under.

are just a few things from his crazy brain. it helped me allot to cope with the struggles i had in the beginning of planco.

If you want you can analyze my blueprints for both PlanCo and PlanZo on the steam workshop but im not a expert or pro builder by any means.

Honestly, just start. Make a start no matter how bad or good, it's always editable later, but if you don't start you can't improve. Even some of the better known builders who know exactly what they want to make and how to make it still take 2-3 hours for some smaller projects.

Thank you for the videos and words of encouragement :) I'll keep working at it. Maybe one day I'll be able to participate in these creative challenges :)
