Patience, guys :)

The developers are working on it.

I wish everyone who's on here moaning and being rude to the devs would simply [redacted]. Who do you guys think you are, could you develop a major game? No, then just ticket what you find and move on.

We will get an amazing game at the end of this process despite the ugly, angry, unnessasry rubbish i see posted. Not because of it.
 
Tutorials work fine for me, bar an odd audio glitch on Supply Strike.
Can anyone confirm if they get it too? The Sidewinders that fly in to support you sound like their audio isn't playing properly (thin, tinny and crackly in places).

The radar also takes an age to finish rendering and seems stuck in what feels like the bad old days of 640x480.

Rest of Tutorials work fine.

Can't get online at all though :-(
 
Well, I've tried changing the MTU locally - not joy.

I'm on BT FTTC so my MTU is locked, so I hacked my OpenReach modem, and installed a custom firmware there....telnet reveals the MTU is already set at 1500, but speedguide still reveals my actual MTU as 1492.

So it would seem the 20% of us that can get in, are those that are not with a BT leased line, and don't have a fixed MAX MTU.

I just wish we could hear from the Devs......silence is frustrating as your mind thinks nothing is happening.....if one of the sales team could just drop a quick thread every once in a while then that might go a long way to quell some of the uprising peasants.

Oh well, back to Shadow of Mordor to slay some more orcs for while! ;-)

Consistently my first attempt to connect to server fails and the second succeeds. I'm solo so far.

Everything I've tried seems to be ok except going to galaxy map or system map is very slow, and when I launched from Beagle the game teleported me to the door instead of requiring me to fly through the bay to it.

I got past the pre-flight check by assigning a couple of keys to yaw RZ axis because I'm not finding it on my Saitek X52 Pro. Any advice on what I'm doing wrong there?

However I'm an idiot because I've lost the Commodities Market. [edit] found it; the station just didn't have one :eek:

Fantastic opportunity this crowd funding and testing.

Once I used a company located in the US for crowd source testing for our webshop platform (launched for more than 15 countries) and we payed more than 30K € for the testing if I remember correctly.

Regarding Elite Dangerous we have a much bigger real test methodology by all the beta testers world wide. It's a perferct testing condition for such a game!
And even better, all testers seem to be extremly motivated because they want to participate from the qualitiy of the game when it's finished.

I am looking forward to see the new bugfixes. :)
 
As Iain said - enough with the bickering. It's like reading the argument between a couple of teenagers. If we see another post that is off topic and sniping then we're just going to start handing out warnings. This is a Beta discussion thread - treat it as such.

We're 'mostly' adults here - please make an effort to converse like it.

Also - FD have churned out two updates in 24hrs - that is impressive by anyones books.

ED You are doing a grand job. I'm glad you have sent this post.
People need to know its a beta & they should treat it as one. :):)

Game loads to the first menu screen.
Server : 54.228.136.5:19364 (UNCONNECTED)
Menu locks up either instantly or within 1 second.
Music still playing in the back ground can move the mouse cursor around but no response from the menu. Ctrl Alt Del to kill the client.
 
in Italy it is said: do not know which way to turn (non sanno più che pesci pigliare), and I know that is true, but I trust and hope that everything will be resolved soon.
And another: my english is very bad!!!!!
 
I think the game feels amazing now, partly because it is more "accessible" for people with less time for gaming. I actually made progress during the few hours I got to play!

Sure, it has bugs which makes it hard to actually get in the game right now, but that is exactly why it is a beta. These things are supposed to happen in a development process.

Also, I love the new SMAA antialiasing.

Really looking forward to play some more!
 
It looks like they have started their shift at least, new post on twitter from devs (they are working their ...es out)
 
Still having all the same problems too, skybox/map working properly now but still crashes as soon as I try to enter a jump to another system or supercruise within a system. Hope its working again soon, but good job on the fixes none the less. Many thanks Devs.
