Hi everyone!

Welcome to the first of two Feature Focus articles, where we'll be taking a short dive into the details of one of the new features coming up in free update 1.12! In this week's Feature Focus, we'll be talking about... Restrooms!

Restrooms are a key part of any amusement park, from theme parks to zoos, and now of your very own Jurassic World. Your guests will have a specific need for restrooms in and around your other attractions, so you'll need to be sure you've put some down in each of the islands. This new building will work in a similar way to shops, whereby you'll place them down next to hotels, viewing galleries or monorail stations, and your guests will begin to use them; don't worry, the building itself is relatively small so fitting them into your existing parks should be simple. You'll be able to upgrade the amount of staff in each restroom facility to ensure higher quantities of visitors can use them, and you'll have the ability to use the Management View to figure out where the highest demand for restrooms is within your park. You'll need to be cautious about your money though as the restrooms carry an additional cost to run, so don't place too many at once if you're just starting a new park!

Players who have the new DLC Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park, will also gain access to the new Jurassic Park style facilities featuring a design with a thatched roof inspired by the film. These will be available in the new narrative campaign or when selecting the "Jurassic Park" era setting in a new Sandbox or Challenge Mode! Check out the screenshots below:

Restrooms have been a feature our community have been requesting for quite some time now, and we're very excited to be able to release them into the game for everyone to enjoy in this Free Update.

Join us again next Wednesday with our second Feature Focus for the Free Update, which is coming along with the new paid content pack Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park, out 10 December 2019!

Really looking forward to this update and the narrative campaign. I'm sure it will be the best JWE experience yet. (y)

So we can't mix and match the JP and JW themes? Or add the JP buildings to our main campaign parks?
That's okay I guess, but I won't lie it is a tad bit disappointing. I'm sure it'll be fine though <3

While I am extremely happy with the update and the new DLC, I think it's unfortunate that we can't Mix and Match JP and JW stlyes on Sandbox. Challange mode, I get that. But I really wanted to do Old park/new park builds. Like JW zoo as the main city of the park, and a JP stlye safari on the rest of the island. Honestly, I was going to replace ALL my JW fences with the JP fences. I am still looking forward to the game, but I really hope they make it so we can Mix and Match on the Sandbox.

As long as the dinosaur designs aren’t restricted to this era system, I’m fine with it.

I like to have my parks in sandbox be part of a chain of them like one is a safari but it’s just one attraction of a bigger park.

But if I can only use the JP raptors on the JP theme, I’m gonna be disappointed.

Provided that we at least get to use the classic JP dinosaur skins/models for the main campaign.

I see that the majority of players are concered about the dino skins, which I understand. But as a fan of the "park" aspect I was hoping to Mix and Match area style buildings to make up for the lack of guest buildings. Granted the bathrooms are very welcomed. I am hoping on Sandbox they will add a Mix and Match since those JP fences are amazing and have the soul that the JW fences lack.

These are a great feature. The DLC model looks very classic JP. I am somewhat disappointed that we can't mix and match the JP and JW themes. Hopefully, that doesn't extend to the new dinosaur remodels, as well. We all want to use those classic JP assets in our standard parks, as well.

Nice addition, can we however also mix JW and JP buildings ? And will this update finally make sandbox mode a true sandbox mode where everything is unlocked from the get go ?

Same here, I really do not like the JW fences, well besides the concrete ones for Dilos and whatnot, and was hoping to replace all the fences with the new JP ones. Or even use the new JP hatchery as I hate how the JW one has crates and barrels exposed to any dinosaur it releases, that and the JP looks much more like how I would expect it to look like
