How to toggle supercruise assist?

Have seen some you tube videos and the toggle seems to be in the navigation panel just to the right of lock destination. The second from the left for me is system map........confused here.

Outfitting states I have the module........been exploring for awhile and its just been added whilst I was away. Cannot find it under modules so don't know if it's actually switched on.

Hi. I'm kinda new here so forgive me but there are many threads on this topic and I haven't read through them all. This one seems most relevant as it highlights how SCA is currently turned on and off...

Ugh... This seems unnecessarily convoluted. While it's nice to have access to enable SCA directly while setting a destination on the nav screen (only when SC is active) the only way to disable it is to target something else or turn the module off? ... and I really find it annoying that targeting something else kills SCA as it prevents me from "looking around" while waiting to get to my destination, though I can understand why that might be undesirable for others now that I've gotten into shuttling passengers.

Anyway, it would really be nice to have a hotkey bind to "set/cancel" SCA. I know it's not exactly like cruise control on a car, but that's the closest approximation I can make.

It's not that easy to remove it when you are 16k LY away from nearest star port. :D
And on my secondary account I just can't be bothered...
you hate it but flew 16k ly with it?....you can disable it by going to your module list and clicking it. then it won't be actively powered at all.

I like to use it when I want to give my hands a break or go make a coffee or something, orbiting a planet I'm about to map or want to land at. I've been amusing myself by setting orbital cruise to a planet ad then mapping it while in orbit at close range. trying to do it on the fly as it were. sometimes though when you want to conserve fuel and just jump through turning it and all modules you don't expressly need off for the trip is handy.

You can sort of deactivate it by moving the throttle out of the blue zone.
Not since the last update, if you've let it have control of the throttle (which is a good idea for stopping at a station; I think it's the default). You can deactivate by pitching or yawing away from the target direction though.

Been using it lately and it's kinda useful. I'd really like it to have a hotkey and the ability to set a high or low orbit. A higher orbit would be good for surface mapping, and you wouldn't get as deep into the planet gravity well.

When I set out on my journey we still didn't even have the FSS and DSS update... I like to take my time ;)
