Frontier has a tradition of skipping over 1.11 and going right for 1.12. They did this with Planet Coaster and many of their other games.
Have heard of similar superstitions from them and other game companies too. Wonder why, though.
Anyway, there is some small possibility that there's some kind of update, even if it's just bugfixes, later today. I've just read around twitter than 4chan had another leak about dino AI revamp, and that the even BiS went to revolved around it and raptors
Man, if that was just true... best christmas ever! Dino AI revamp was such a needed thing!
A part of me realises this is more likely a possibility. And I base them on these 3 things:
1) Every DLC introduced has an update alongside them that installs the content of the DLC and the option of purchase to purchase said DLC to be made directly. The update itself could be major additions or minor bug fixes, but all DLCs comes with an update.
2) Youtubers Gaming Beaver and Bestinslot have made comments of attending a JWE event last wednesday and kept reminding viewers to tune in tuesday (Today), with Bestinslot having 3 videos ready and Gaming Beaver saying he will show the videos at 3:00PM GMT, a time where updates are often launched.
3) FInally and most likely hinting at an update, is that Gaming Beaver went over the JWE Raptor Squad thread and read @Elise the Indominus rex's comment on the dinosaur phasing through each other and remarked "You might find that out tomorrow". Either saying that they worked on this issue in an update and we could experience it, or the content he will showcase is full of dinosaurs phasing. It is up in the air.
With the recent 4chan leak also revealing details of reworked A.I., there is a great possibility of an update tomorrow that has all of this, or all of this will be in update 1.12.
Ultimately, there is only about 6 hours ish before his video is launched, so we could see for sure if all of this is true or a small hype storm has developed. Hard to say as Frontier does have a track record of sneaking in new content via updates that we are unaware about, but it won’t be long now before the truth is revealed (or not).
I myself have been extremely excited with the latest reveals that I am right now as excited as I was when the game was first announced. So many things that are too good to be true are being revealed one after another, and the potential update coming today or whatever the youtubers wish to show us is getting me just as excited for what is to come XD These next few hours will be the longest ever.I do hope the upcoming DLC and potential updates definitvely rule out the JWE2 possibility. It isn't needed. The game still has sooo much potential.
About the comment... the leak apparently mentioned clipping being fixed too!!
If that's true... WOOOOW
Maybe 111 is 1/6th the number of the beast? Maybe that's it, though it never goes to 2.22, so we'll never know for sure.Have heard of similar superstitions from them and other game companies too. Wonder why, though.

Or they're like Valve. For Valve the number 3 doesn't exist, for Frontier possibly 1.11.I suppose it could also be an internal thing. Maybe they've updated something really deep in order to implement some if not all of the new features, so that would be 1.11. It simply wouldn't neither really fix anything nor adding anything new, so it's not marked as downloable, independent patch.
I think 111 being Trinary for 13 might have something to do with it (it's the only way with three digits, where the first is a 1, to get 13), that said it should be reason to not have a 1.3 (unless it's treated as 1.03) or 1.101 for very long either.I suppose it could also be an internal thing. Sounds like they didn't want to animate the grazing so that it could touch the ground, so they just removed the animation entirely, which is fair enough, it's more a Rainforest low browser anyway.I do recall the Nasutoceratops had an issue with grazing and the finishing kill for the indoraptor. They fixed the finisher and the indoraptor flies into the air from a ramming nasutoceratops. The grazing is interesting, it may just be me being extremely unlucky. But I noticed the nasutoceratops never does initiate a grazing animation. So maybe I would encounter the grazing animation in the future.
