Staff advice wanted - training staff or hire another, what is more efficient?

Hi!
As the title suggests, when should you hire another worker vs training staff? I'm relatively new to staff training and I figured there had to be some experts lurking around here :3

Any insight to share? Do you always aim to train everyone to max level or are there circumstances where you'd be better off with cheaper staff?
I just raised the level of a cleaner but I cannot see a visible work speed boost.

I feel it's much better to fully train your staff. For the longest time I had 2 fully trained zookeepers managing 6 habitats with no problems. I train them depending on their workload. For example I have 8 habitats and only 2 fully trained vets and they are okay. I have 3 caretakers all trained up to 3 stars and are fine.

Thanks! Do you train vendors, too? I trained mine to level 3 but I'm not sure I can see a difference.

There is definitely a difference in vet and mechanic research speed with fully trained staff. I believe fully trained staff are supposed to be able to work longer before needing a rest in the staff room, but I've never actually tested if it works.
